DIOUF CONFIDENT OF SAFETY - Thursday 28th February 2008

Bolton hero El-Hadji Diouf is confident his side can turn their fortunes around and survive in the Premier League.

Wanderers currently lie 16th in the table, just three points above the bottom three with eleven games to go.

With games against Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea still to come, Diouf believes the club can get results from these games should they perform like they have done in the UEFA Cup, where they have reached the last 16.

"We just need to be stronger and more stronger when we play in the Premier League and play like we play in the UEFA Cup," Diouf told Sky Sports News.

When asked about staying in the Premier League, Diouf believes the club is too good to go down and they will get enough points to survive.

"Of course [we are confident of survival], we have a big team that is too good to go down. I think we will be staying in the Premier League easy."

With the "top four" still to come, Diouf also believes the side can take points as long as they play to their strengths and not show any weakness to their opponents.

"Every game for us is a big game not just because it is Liverpool or Man Utd. We need to win football games and do everything fantastic.

"If we play our football in the Reebok Stadium we can beat Liverpool like every season.

"We need to play our football and battle them and believe in ourselves."
