Wanderers striker El-Hadji Diouf wants to put in a good performance and get on the scoresheet against Sheffield United.
The Senegalese international departs for the African Cup of Nations early next week to represent his country, as does his Bolton teammate Abdoulaye Meite who will be representing Ivory Coast.
Saturday's FA Cup tie will be the last time the pair turn out in a Wanderers shirt before they leave, with the tournament spanning January 20th - February 10th.
Diouf yesterday launched the "Dioufy Foundation", which is a charity aimed at giving British and African children a better chance in life, and he stated his intentions for the third round tie at the Reebok.
"It would be nice to score and leave the fans a memento," said Diouf.
"But I will be giving my best and the fans know I am coming back."
The 26-year-old will be missed at the club but admits he will be keeping a close eye on the results of the club and hopes to face a battle to win his place back upon his return from Ghana.
"I hope to see us climbing the table and for us to win games and that I have a problem winning my place back," he concluded.
