BOLTON WANDERERS v ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa visit the Reebok in what is Gary Megson's first game as Bolton manager.

Although the former West Brom boss was in the dugout for Thursday's UEFA Cup draw against SC Braga, first team affairs were managed by Archie Knox.

With just one league win to their credit so far, Bolton will be looking for immediate success under their new manager who has replaced Sammy Lee.

Villa lost 4-1 at home to Manchester United last weekend and will be looking to bounce back with a win on their travels, but they will be without suspended duo Scott Carson and Nigel Reo-Coker.

Stuart Taylor is expected to deputise in goal with Stilian Petrov thought to be replacing Reo-Coker in central midfield.

Should he play, captain Gareth Barry will make his 300th Premier League appearance for the club.

After coming off the bench to score in midweek, El-Hadji Diouf is expected to earn a recall to the Wanderers side, starting alongside Kevin Davies and Nicolas Anelka as Megson looks to play a 4-3-3 formation.

Anelka will make his 50th start for Bolton after recovering from a thigh injury which kept him out of the defeat to Arsenal last weekend.

Ivan Campo is also expected to be named in the starting line-up after he was ineligible for the UEFA Cup tie on Thursday.
