CHRIS Evans reckons more signings should follow hot on the heels of Sean Davis’s arrival from Portsmouth.

As predicted by The Bolton News, the experienced midfielder became Wanderers’ first new recruit of the transfer window by signing a three-year deal at the Reebok on Wednesday.

Assistant manager Evans expects other new faces to join him over the next couple of weeks, saying: "Sean is a tremendous acquisition. It also sends out the message that we’re very serious about bringing quality players to this football club this summer."

I personally think we need at least 6 more players this transfer window to avoid the problems associated with small squad size.

Of the 6, we need a striker who can get 15+ goals in a season, a playmaking midfielder and another solid centre-back.

We'll have to wait and see whats happens next Grin

Agreed Craig. I dont know about you but I dont think we are that far off from being a top 6-8 side, all we need is someone who can change a game in a flash with a piece of magic which we so DESPERATELY need.

The back 4 needs to improve massively for us to stand any chance of finishing up there.

A new CB as Craig says definitely needs addressing, Cahill and Steinsson are both good and Samuel has got better. So we really need a CB and a LB possibly to challenge Samuel. I just think with a few extra players we could really push on next season.

A commanding CB who can keep up with the strikers, a ball-playing CM and a quality FC.

Then just add backup to the squad and we will be looking in good shape, which to be honest we are currently.

The big challenge will be to get them gelled and playing nice, attacking football in a classic 4-4-2 formation. Lets see if Mystic Megson is up to it!

That's almost as good as "the Flame-haired supremo" - which is my personal favourite.
