I wrote this last July.
http://www.burndenaces.co.uk/news/2007/7/reebok-sponsorship-extended.htmBolton Wanderers and Reebok have agreed to extend their partnership which has already lasted for 18 years.
Reebok took over sponsorship of the club's kit from Normid back in 1989 and have continued to sponsor the club ever since.
The popular sports brand won the rights for the stadium naming in 1997 when the Whites moved from Burnden Park to the "Reebok" Stadium.
The new deal will run until 2016, which will see Reebok keep hold of the stadium naming rights and club sponsorship, the deal is the biggest sponsorship deal in the club's history.
The company, Reebok, was founded on St.Helen's Road, Bolton, in 1895 and their UK headquarters are now situated within the North Stand at the stadium.
Speaking to the clubs official website, Bolton chief executive Allan Duckworth was delighted with the news.
"Bolton Wanderers have enjoyed an outstanding and mutually beneficial partnership with Reebok over a great many years.
"We pride ourselves on establishing long-term strategic partnerships and are delighted to be able to extend our stadium naming rights partnership for a further nine-year term, thereby reaffirming our association with one of the world's leading sportswear companies."
I understand the shirt sponsor was not until 2016 but a deal was in place to make it until then. The Reebok sign has been covered up at the ground but as Danny says, it'll be for cleaning and a new sign.
Reebok stopped advertising under Rbk around February-March time and changed the font of the Reebok logo, which is probably what they're doing.
Adidas do own Reebok but they still advertise Reebok in itself, and with the European headquarters at the ground, Reebok will be around for a long time to come my friends.
(NOTE: The Reebok sign at the headquarters has been pulled down also.)
