I was at a charity do last night in Manchester and got talking to a young man who is the son of an ex-footballer who is on the staff (not playing) at BWFC.
He clearly liked my Prada dress (well, the lack of material) and spent the night talking to my chest.
Inbetween the "can I have your number" and "you look bloody gorgeous" this chap gave quite an insight as to what the staff at BWFC feel about Megson.
The most telling fact he gave me was the complete lack of international contacts that Megson has. He said Allardyce knew every official foreign agent and every unofficial one. He had eyes and ears everywhere looking for that rare gem.
In contrast Megson has trouble making friends and therefore no one calls him when they spot a talent, hence why all his signings are second rate English players at sky-high prices. When he does delve into the foreign market he buys crap like Elmander.
It was nice to hear some facts from within the club, even if they just confirm my opinion that Megson is crap.

Yet for every Okocha there was a Kaku, Diawara, Perez. Allardyce was remembered for his good signings, but nobody seems to remember all the shite he brought to the club.

Oscar Perez what was that transfer all about? Natasha if your information is correct it is sad that we don't have the various contacts that perhaps we should. I would have thought though that the various players agents would be bombarding Megson with their clients portfolio's / youtube videos to offset that a little bit though? Talking of which didn't Big Sam obtain Florent Laville's services based solely on a video!

Cahill Taylor. Makukula Muamba - Megson
They have both made good & bad signings

I can see what she means!
I also heard from inside the club that he is not liked amongst the training ground. He is quite rude to the coaches and players who are part of the Academy & U16's etc and is not respected like Allardyce was.

Very good point Manny. I think that if we had actually paid any money for kaku (free), diawara (loan) perez (free) then i think the fans would remember; because they were free or loan signings people arent as bothered.

The club would still have the contacts Big Sam used while manager, i doubt they were all in his mobile phone, the club is well run and i doubt there isnt atleast a few people who have a wide range of contacts. Well id hope so, any club that relies on only the manager to have scouting contacts isnt being run very well ....

It's not long ago I read either Megson or Chris Evans saying we've got scouts well placed all over Europe and Eddie Davies' private jet is never longer than an hour away.

Man Utd, Fulham, Villa, Stoke, Spurs etc HAHAHAHAHA, Excellent! Fergie/Man Utd: Im sure when Fergie took over at Man Utd, he wasnt the fans choice, they wanted him out! if he didnt win the fa cup he would of been out, sacked, gone, vanished. If Man Utd would of listened to fans like you they wouldnt of had success. As fergie would of been sacked. Pulis/Stoke: You obviously dont look at the history of these clubs, when pulis first took over as Stoke manager, fans didnt want him in and was way down the pecking order to be manager, the only reason they like him now is because there in the prem (but with possibly worse football than us!) Redknap/Spurs: I look around a few Spurs forums and they are still wounded by the departure of jol and want him back! redknap had to spend 60 million in January to keep them up, we spent 2 million was it?

Fulham
There might be a good point somewhere in that post but due to your appalling spelling and grammar I don’t understand most of it. It’s about time there was an aptitude test for people joining forums. Or perhaps forums should be split into two: one for the educated and one for the uneducated.

Thats as good as its getting! you fully understand my points and dodging them with the old '' go back to school routine'' thats the moment you knew you was wrong.
I agree with splitting the forums, negative clueless side and the positive get behind your team side. Not a bad idea Tasha.

But would you then have to have a 'positive get behind your team side forum' for the 'educated' and a 'positive get behind your team side forum' for the 'uneducated' as well as 'educated' and 'uneducated' forums for the 'negative clueless' posters as well? I'm confused!

I'm confused! The only way to sort it is to have a written test before people are allowed to become members. If they can't string a sentence together they are automatically linked to WanderersWays, if they pass they get to stay on here.

Tasha, you also make some very good points in your posts. But you then tend to follow them up with the most childish of insults to the person you're disagreeing with. Which makes it very hard for me to back you up. If you could just take some advice and suggestions, keep your strong PoV's, but just leave the name calling out of it! By name calling, I generally mean calling someone who doesn't agree with you a lemming or stupid!

Craig - she's not the only one who does that here - as I'm sure you're well aware. That doesn't make it right, I'm just saying we should be able to disagree without saying the other person is stupid (even though we think so! ).
