Been busy so not bin posting not that you lot will have missed my moaning but been looking at the forums trasnfer speculation etc and just have a few points....

1)whos this natasha charachter what a balloon a keyboard warrior i guess.

2)I know the window has not been opened yet but just with the quailty/type of players we've been linked with is starting to worry me again alot of championship players have been mentioned using Doyle as an example i just find it hard to see how he can benefit us these cant be the best players from the championship as these are the three teams who have gone up Doyle has no pace and didnt really set the world alight with Reading in the premiership doubt he would improve us significantly i appreciate the fact he hasnt  been signed but far from it just the noises coming out just seem to show the repuataion of the club that we couldnt attract big quialty
players again putting players off coming to us im not saying Owen would be a good signing for us but given hes on a free lives in the north west and would get you more than 10 goals inb a  season even if he only played half the games its dissapoiting to see us not even being linked with players such as these.

3) As i have mentioned in the above post i am dissapointed with the lack of quailty/type of players especially none with pace or a b it of flair usually the speculation isnt far wrong Bodde Doyle Robinson doesnt exactly get the juices going or the season tickets flying out i can see why you all want to get behind GM but sureley the lack of quailty players he is being linked with must start to be setting off aaarm bells i appreciate getting behind Megson now and that is why i wouldnt be a boo booy at matches but when Megson finally leaves BWFC i fear we will all look back on a dreary time while he is in charge and not having the x factor needed in attracting players.

Hello 188, I've missed you whilst you were away - honestly - I like your passion.

Just as an aside - was it your birthday recently - does 1106 stand for the 11th June perhaps - if so belated birthday wishes - I hope you had a good one.

Now to answer your 3 points above -

1 - Natasha, I suggest you read my comments of her in both her introduction post on the New Members Section and also the suggestions I made in respect of her in the thread she started that Manny locked.

I have always confessed to being a big fan of Natasha's - I think the writer who posts under that name is very clever, humorous and knows their football.

Don't take her too seriously and try to enjoy the humour.

2 and 3 - Transfers / Megson.  Forgive me for stating the obvious - but everything up to know is just gossip and the club as not actually confirmed who we are in for and who we aren’t.

Everton signed Lescott, Cahill and Jagielka from Championship clubs - I don't think you would complain if they were playing for us,

Also the three best TEAMS were promoted - which does not necessarily follow that players in teams promoted were the best there was in the division - Birmingham have just bought Centre Back Roger Johnson from Cardiff - who they obviously rate higher than the centre back they had in their promotion season!

As for Owen - might be on a free but he will be on big, big wages.  Lost his blistering pace, regularly injured, admitted gambler.  Teams like Everton, Villa, Spurs are avoiding him for a reason - he's past his sell by date.

As for Megson's pulling power - Cahill came when Birmingham wanted him, Taylor came when Sunderland wanted him and if the stories are right Sean Davis as turned down Blackburn to join us on the 1st July.

To be honest though do you think Djorkaeff, Jay Jay, Campo, Stelios, etc came to play for Sam or the money we were prepaired to pay them!  At the end of the day money talks.

Finally 188, and don't take it the wrong way - a few well placed full stops would make your posts very much more easier for the rest of us to read.

No offence meant but you can call me a lemon as well if it helps!

As for Megson's pulling power - Cahill came when then-Championship club Birmingham wanted him, Taylor came when Sunderland (coin-toss?) wanted him and if the stories are right Sean Davis has turned down Blackburn (again, coin-toss?) join us on the 1st July. I don't think any of those really show any pulling power of note - Cahill wanted to be guaranteed a game in a Prem club, Taylor went to Europe in his first season with us if I'm not mistaken (which Sunderland couldn't offer) and why would anyone want to play for Blackburn (except Dunn) when Bolton has come calling? Smiley That said, I'm happy our Gary went for them, as Taylor and Cahill have been exceptional for us.

Cheers!

Except that Birmingham wern't in the Championship when we signed Cahill, in fact, if i remember correctly they were actually above us in the league!

You just brush aside that Sean Davis chose us over Blackburn simply cos its Blackburn but its also a Blackburn who are managed by Sam Allardyce, a man most Bolton fans believe to be far superior to Megson when it comes to attracting players.

As for Taylor, the reaon for him choosing Bolton over Sunderland was partly due to him being unimpressed with the way Roy Keane sold the club to him so if he was impressed by the way Megson did this, he must be doing something right.

Remember elmander was wanted by a few other teams too...and he came out and said megson met with him and really sold him the club and made him feel wanted so megson obviously can do it with some players.

On the transfer front as sluffy said i really wouldn't pay much attention until the window actually opens. Papers need to fill their pages somehow and trust me being in newcastle, seeing alot of owen, unless he's prepared to play for about 25/30 grand a week (highly doubtful) wouldn't really be worth it.

I can brush aside Sean Davis signing for us, because there has been no official confirmation that he has. I will take your word on Brum, simply because I can't be bothered at this time to confirm it, but good on our Gary for pulling that transfer off. Weren't we in Europe when Taylor came? Wouldn't that by itself have been more attractive than Keano and the Black Cats? I still don't think he has any great pulliing power. That said, I think BSA's pulling power was the money he was willing to pay as a salary, and the guarantee of playing time. I think he is a better man-manager, not that he has greater pulling power.

I could have the pulling power at a club like manchester united, very few men in the world if any could attract the top players in there prime to bolon wanderers, big sam took risks on most of his players as they where down and out, i cant remember any competition for the like of okocha, youri, diouf, nakata, heiro ect all these players where down and out and ill give big sam credit and respect for his man 2 man management skills has he re kindled all of these players careers and extended there careers for another 2 or 3 seasons at the highest level.

No keegan, its my opinion  I never said he was a better man 2 man manager i respect that he was a good man 2 man manager but in many ways i believe gary megson is a good realistic manager for our club.  He wont leave us in the sh**.
