Tash, in this thread, we actually have a pre-teen who knows more about good football transfer tactics than you. Funny eh? Miss intellectual business woman! Cheesy

Why would I be interested in a pre-op transexual?

Who the flick said anything about pre-op transexuals!!?? LOL

I dont think this would be the right move!

He is a player who used to be world-class but is now on the back end of a very good career. He would demand big money and would be too big of an ego in the dressing room which I think could unsettle everything.

Expect him to follow the train of greed that Tevez and co are on and he will take a big money move somewhere else. My bet would be either City, Chelsea or Inter.

You ever been in a dressing room with Michael Owen? No. So how do you know he would be a big ego? I used to be very friendly with Michael Owen several years ago and he is a very fine young man who is anything but a big ego. He didn't kiss me until the 3rd date.

I have dated two footballers. Michael Owen briefly and David Nugent for a few months.

So a WAG are we as well Tongue

Well I am sorry but I believe that your 'ex' to have a big ego and I do not rate him anymore as a footballer and do not want him at the club I support.

Other people might think otherwise like yourself but that is what makes football brilliant - the debate and differences in opinion.

Why sign a player that is only going to use us to resurect his career (anelka spring to mind) its a no win situation, nothing for the future and if he is good we will get 1 season out of him before another club picks him up, its not worth it, BUILD FOR THE FUTURE  Cool Cool Cool

BWFC should sign Michael Owen.

I don't care if we have to flog Cahill, Jussi or anyone else to get him....Owen should be our number one priority this Summer.

It's a risk, granted, but he has pace and is a proven goalscorer. I confidently predict he will forge a dangerous and successful partnership with Kevin Davies.

If this club is to progress we have to make a signing of this statue. We have to send a message to our rivals that 17th place is not good enough for BWFC.

Michael Owen would create a buzz at BWFC, a lot of the people thinking of not getting a season ticket will change their minds and the ground will be full again.

Your earlier post on "Biggest waste of cash" would have a new winner, id rather have Elmander not scoring but creating space than Owen on a treatment table with massive wages. If i were to take any Newcastle Utd player from there current squad it would be Ameobi or Martins .....

All the betting markets leaning towards him signing for United. Odds cut from 20/1 to 7/4 with SkyBet.

Lets all laugh at United! Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

The best they can replace Ronaldo with is Owen.

Is this the first sign of cracks due to their huge debts?

If he went I think it could be a decent enough signing. It's relatively low risk for United compared to other clubs and the pressure won't be on him as much because he'll be surrounded by quality.

All because Real Madrid are signing everybody United want!

Typical!!

Natasha states Bolton should sign Michael Owen so the big boys come sniffing.

Proving beyond doubt that I am the oracle when it comes to football knowledge.

having chances put on a plate for him i'm sure he'll do well (if fit) for united. Playing for us i just couldn't imagine we'd create enough for him to be a success.

Manchester United have replaced Cristiano Ronaldo & Carlos Tevez with Antonio Valencia & Michael Owen.

They even have a lower league style home kit Grin

As things stand now, I think the top 4 will look like this next season:

1 - Liverpool
2 - Chelsea
3 - Man Utd
4 - Arsenal

With Man City not to far behind Arsenal.
