Gretar Steinsson says Bolton Wanderers fans should appreciate what they've achieved this season.

“We should be positive about what we’ve achieved," said the defender. “There was a lot of negativity around the club when I came here.

“But since then we have been bringing in good players and changing a lot of things.

“You have to consider the amount of money we can spend and that last year was a really difficult season for us. This has been much better. We are a small club still and try and build season by season.

“You look at the amount of money other teams are spending and think about how difficult it is for a club like us.

“Look at the team we played against here and just how much they’ve spent.”

Very good statement by Gretar.
It has been a huge step from last year and we have moved on.
It is going to be a slow building process and I think next season we will push on.
We need a few good signings this summer as we have the smallest squad in the Premiership. We need a mix of premiership proven player and young players.

I would like a cup run next year and I think we should target one and not just have Premiership survial as the only prioity. A good shot at the carling cup would be in order for myself.

I agree with the cup competitions, we need to take at least one of them seriously next season.

With the players we have at the moment, we won't do any better next season than we have this, but if we can add two or three proven players, hopefully we can be pushing back towards the top half.
