I wonder if he'll be after a dream bedsit in Daisy Hill too??

He'd get one in Platt Bridge so he can get back out in Wigan on the piss like old times.

Was in The Bolton News today.

Apparently we've got our valuation and won't go above it.

I've merged the Rumour Mill and Bullard threads because we're just going round in circles and things are getting posted more than once.  Cool

Bolton are considering a bid from Blackburn for goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi, skysports.com understands.

The Omani international is in the last year of his contract at Bolton and looks unlikely to extend his deal.

Bolton are keen to keep Al-Habsi - but No.1 Jussi Jaaskelainen signed a new long-term contract in the summer, meaning the 26-year-old's chances of getting a crack at first-team football would be severely limited.

POLAND international Ebi Smolarek is believed to be jetting into England after agreeing a one-year loan deal with Wanderers.

The Bolton News understands that the prolific Racing Santander striker will meet with club officials later to finalise the move, which also includes an option to buy after 12 months.

Smolarek has an excellent European pedigree after spells with Feyenoord, Borussia Dortmund and Racing, and also boasts 34 international caps and 13 goals.

I have seen a little bit of Smolarek in the past and he seems like a decent player. In my eyes he's certainly better tha Vaz Te but then again I'd hope a 27-year-old is. Hopefully his drug days are behind him though.

Other transfer news,

The latest whispers suggest he's going to join us for £3m. Vaz Te will still go the other way on loan.

Yeah he was a naughty lad with the drug thing, seeing Vaz Te go wont be much of a loss but I do wish him well wherever he ends up.

He may end up back here!

Should the deal go ahead, if Vaz Te doesn't sign on at the end of the season then he's got another year here. We should have flogged him a couple of years ago when he finished with 5 or 6 goals in as many games.

True, didn't he once score something like 10 goals in an Academy game?

Not long after he signed I remember reading about him scoring 5 or 6 in one game. Not quite the 10 you said but it's still some achievement.

Tope Obadeyi. Had a chance in pre-season but didn't really impress. I don't expect him to be involved much during the season, mainly the reserves for him.

Listened to Megson on the radio after today's game and he said Smolarek was at the game today and expected to sign in the next 24 hours.

Dzemaili and Vaz Te the most likely people to leave, but both on loan.

Id rather keep dzemaili as we do seem short of midfielders atm and id rather give him a chance in the team than keep playing mccann who had another bad day although he put himself about well. Couldnt care less about vaz te, shame it has to be on loan really as it means theres always a chance he might come back.

With all due respect to the guy, Smolarek is a lot better than Rasiak.

Let's be honest, he couldn't be much worse!

apparently Elmander and Smolarek played together for feyernoord and the season they were together Feyernoord won the Uefa cup. the lad also has a decent goal record. we need a finisher for the time bing we couldnt of scored a goal today if we played for 6 hours
