Saw it in the Sunday Mirror I think, that he's out of contract at the end of the year and he's off to Wigan on a free.

I say it's about time, just a surprising move to Wigan really. I've been saying for quite a while now it's time for him to go, I just don't think he's good enough. We have Jlloyd Samuel who in my opinion is a better player, he has proven me wrong. He's a solid left-back who can actually play a bit of football, and with Matt Taylor who can go back in there as well, we don't need Ricardo anymore.

Whats everyone else think?

Gardner is still a better left back than samuel IMO. Although he has played well recently Samuel showed some of his flaws again on saturday. And taylor at left back really is not a good idea. We tried it at Villa and we all know what happened there. We should be looking at keeping Gardner, competition for places an all.

Yeah I'd rather keep Gardner. Offer him another year or two, nothing long term because of his injuries.

Samuel for the majority of the season has been crap, showed signs of what he can do recently but once again had another poor game on Saturday.

It's a position that needs sorting out though whatever happens.
