Kamel Ghilas could be worth a pop if the price is right. He's played for Vitoria in the past and had quite a good scoring record for them 1 in 3. The only reason they let him go is that they could not afford his wages.

Bolton are being linked with a move for Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh, who is attracting plenty of interest.

Boss Gary Megson has made finding a new striker one of his top priorities this summer and the Morocco international is the latest player to be linked with a move to the Reebok Stadium.

Chamakh is eager to test himself in England and has been linked with a host of clubs including the Trotters, Wigan, Portsmouth and Everton all thought to be keen.

However, the Bordeaux chairman Jean-Louis Triaud says a move to the Reebok may not be a good career move.

Triaud told RMC: "I am not sure that moving to Portsmouth, Everton, Charlton or Bolton would be good for his career plan.

"His plan may be moving to Wigan and impress bigger Premier League clubs, but if he signs a four-year deal with Wigan, then leaving could prove tough."

A tall and elegant player with good close control and an impressive understanding of the game, so says Wikipedia

A tall centre forward playing in France in his mid-twenties!

They normally score around a goal in every 5 or 6 games. Each goal being worth around £1.6m

Anyone who knows the scouts of Bolton? We have a player in our team here in the Faroe Island, he is 17(18 next month) years old and already playing full time on our first team and did so last season. He plays as winger/striker and he is fast and have great technic and amazing skills. With his skills he has really "pissed" on every "big defender". He has even been with the Faroe Island U/21 squad, and i would not be surprised if he gets his debut for the A team soon.

I know that the tempo here is no where near the one i England, but trust me this is a player who has amazing talent.

Could you ring him back for us Craig and tell him to get rid of Riga before I take a bow and arrow to the training ground!

Mind you I could probably kill one of five with that Tongue

Rid of Riga?? HAHA!!! What about players such as Muamba who cant even pass a ball 2 meter without hitting it 3 meter away from our players, and score a 100% chance in several games?

It might sound like I'm defending Muamba, but these chances he's been getting, at least he's getting in the right positions. One day he'll finally know how to kick the ball and he might just score a goal.

Riga has done nothing worthwhile all season. Granted most of his appearances have been from the bench, but he's not good enough. A move into the Championship or somewhere in Scotland or even a return to Spain is probably best for him.

i cant understand why anyone is defending Muamba. He is rubbish in my eyes, and i hope we will sell him in the summer.

But I´m defending Riga. I liked him in the start of the season like anyone else, but than after som poor performence I did the same thing as anyone else and thought he was not good enough. But in the last 2 games when he has come on the field i really think that he has benefit something good to the team. The game against Sunderland was the thing which changed my look on him. When he and M.Davies came on the field I thought we had much more attacking force on the field.

Fabrice Muamba is the defensive midfielder who has been doing HIS job by making tackles, pressing the ball and overall playing the ball well around the field!
Plus the fact he is getting into attacking positions like Manny said.

Riga is doing absolutely feck all in general! He says he really wants first-team action and when Megson brings him in he does nothing but accept the chants of the strange fans in the West Stand.

This transfer that Megson claims is close will probably be a free transfer. The only person we've been linked with that would be on a free this summer is Sean Davis.

The only other one could be Morrison from West Brom seeing as they're down, but after his comments after we played them, I don't think he'd be too interested in joining us.

I think it will be Davis that joins first! We were linked to Meriem & Govou on free transfers aswell though!

I'd be shocked if morrison turned us down with the opportunity to come back to the prem. He's hardly going to have his pick of every club in the prem even if he is a decent player. Said he'd be considering his options more recently think the comments about us were to keep the baggie fans behind him.

Well one of the free transfers would obviously make the most sense so id say Davis is the most likely option, nothing too exciting but would still be a good signing, definatly an improvement on what we have.

Regarding Muamba, he has been doing his job, he's not a great player yet no, there are still parts of his game that need to improve but when it comes to tackling and pressing the ball there arnt many better in my opinion so if we can get a quality ball player next to him next season who'll jus let him sit, similar to Makelele, then he can be a top player for us.

Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill is a target for Newcastle United.

The People says Toon boss Alan Shearer has informed Mike Ashley that one of his first targets this summer will be Bolton defender Cahill, despite their relegation.

I doubt cahill would want to go to places like blackpool, cardiff and charlton!

When you post articles from a website would you post the link aswell please mate.

I've read that story so I know its from Tribal. That website are notorious for making shite up. Newcastle wouldn't be able to afford £10m + on Cahill given their situation.

This one seems to be a pretty strong rumour now.

Quote
The hard-man West Brom defender Paul Robinson has decided that he doesn’t want to play in the Championship next season, and has asked his manager Tony Mowbray for permission to move to another Premiership club.

His old boss Gary Megson has offered £1m to WBA for Robinson, who has been at West Brom for six years. He was strongly linked with a move to Celtic last season but decided to extend his contract with the Baggies.

He said: ‘I’ve got to the stage now where I can’t face playing in the Championship again, I feel I’ve proved myself in the Premier League.

‘I’m 30 years old and I’ve been up and down the divisions a few times. I hope that the club will be sympathetic to my situation.’
