Last year there was a crap atmosphere for this game. We all know Wigan dont have fans (they have a hand full of people who just turn up to watch the match!) But we were in really poor voice as well. This time we need to sing for the 90+ minutes and really get behind the lads.

I think last season, the performance of the team contributed to the atmosphere as both were absolutly dire.
As you say, hopefully this year its much better and actually makes for a good away day.

Middlesbrough v Man Utd is on Sky Sports tomorrow. Here's a decent link if you ever wanted to know what games are on the box: http://www.livesportontv.com/football/all-fixtures

0-0 then. Would have taken it before the game. Never really made Kirkland work but had the chances. Not seen the Taylor 'goal' yet but heard it was onside!

Was not too impressed to be honest, first half we wer not even in the game and rarely entered their third but picked up a little in the last 20mins and could have grabbed the win.
Overall though, very defensive - sticking men behind the ball, we should have just tried to play around them.

The game certainly wasn't dull. I thought the result was better for us than them, i'm quite happy with the point. Two easy home games coming up next. We are safe

We were safe a while back but with the two home games coming up I would have liked a big push to end on about 46-47 points, which could be a lot harder now.
Remember each place is worth about £750,000

Oh, and I forgot to mention I was delighted with our support today! A lot of singing and a lot more than the 2000-2500 that I had expected turned up. Wigan's support was crap as always EDIT: AND Bury missed out on automatic promotion to League One. What a great day!

AND Tranmere were 2 minutes from making the play offs only to miss out!
Good support today. One of the advertising boards at the back fell off before the game and a few people got some bad cuts from the nails in them. Looked like one person was getting emergency resuscitation in the stands aswell before being stretchered out on oxygen.
Hope everybody is ok and recovers.

I was sitting in row J right at the front. I saw someone being taken to an ambulance, only to come back 10 minutes later with a bandage on his head! I was wondering what happened to him I hope he and everyone else involved recover soon!

a Fair result in the end both teams should of scored at least 2. At this stage of the season picking up points in every game is vital wether its a win or a draw, hopefully with two home games coming up against team below us then we can grab 6 points and try and push on into the top half.

Only our second clean sheet in six months. You've got to look at that as a positive I suppose.
Was listening to BBC Radio Manchester on the way back and Megson was saying that he may give Al-Habsi the last three games because he feels he deserves a chance after not playing all season.
I wonder what Jussi would have to say about that, he's played every minute of every game. I bet he wants to be an ever present.

I was sat in Row D just behind the goal and saw the casualties right in front - interesting that I heard Bolton fans ripped the board off and then threw it in to the crowd :S
I think that is a good shout from Megson, because we are safe really now and Al-Habsi is a great keeper which wouldn't really make a huge difference results wise and he deserves a chance - Jussi may be a bit miffed off though!

seemed a fair enough result even if we probably should have had a goal from matty. Decent result and thought our fans were great creating a good atmosphere which led to an good open game. Jussi was in fine form but would like to see ali given a chance again. Wouldn't hurt...maybe after we have beaten sunderland though just in case.
Hopefully megsons drawing up a shortlist of which players in which positions to go after in the summer.

right im seriously pissed of at the moment with bwfc and with fans like you lot i no i wont be popular with you lot but top be honest couldnt care because half of you dont even go to the games and are delueded witht the spin coming out of the club.
We have immense support better than most in the premiership 4,000-5,000 to watch that shower of shite and excuse for a football team. We play the worst football in the league i thought pompey and newcastle were bad the other night but we are a different level Wigan came up many seasons after us and they are by far a superiior football team that doesnnt deserve there support Megson has had about 20 months in charge and 2 transfer windows too bring new players in and mould a team but he simply hasnt.
If you lot are happy with that poor fcuking excuse for a team then fair enough you keep bacling megson because every season he will just be looking to get to 40 points and then not give a fcúk about the fans and pick up his bonus cheque mugs go for that while hes driving round in his porsche and in a million pound house laughing at you lot its a joke to be honest if you want to keep kidding youselves that Elamnder will suddenly turn into Thierry Henry next season and Megson will start playing football then you are sadly wrong.
The team at the moment dont deserve the fans its time for change and big ones at that if we go down next season then we do we need to rebuild and restructure as scraping for relgeation and deprbing the fans of entertainment to pay some suits and average players massive wages then its a joke and you are just getting laughed at.
I have been out with 10 season ticket holders tonight and do you know how many are renewing 0!! sluffy bang on as much as you want abiout money but to be honest i couldnt give a f**k i want o see my team that i pay to see play entertain me and not play like sunday league footballers.
rant over MEGSON OUT he couldnt managae my cd collection PASS THE FRIGGIN BALL SMALL PISSIN PASSES ITS NOT THAT HARD TO BE HONEST!
Joke of a team at the moment but im sure Elmadder will bang 30 in next season because there are many signs of it on the horizon DELUDED!!!!

Not pissed off at you for having your opinion no worries. Don't think you can say most people don't even go to games though but i can only speak for myself on that and i've been going to every home game since the move to the reebok and my fair share of away games.
Who would be your number one choice for manager 1106? Available people who you think would come...

Grow up 118.
I guess you were pissed when you wrote that but it doesn't excuse your lack of brains.
I've explained to you as simply as I can the reality of the clubs finances - if you think we are suddenly going to buy a whole new team with money we don't have then I'm sure you also believe in Father Christmas and the Easter Bunny too!
And for you sounding off that most of us don't go, well I don't know what your situation is but most on here seem to be youngsters or students and DO get to as many games as they can. As for me I've been going to games since 1964! I've seen some bloody shite Wanderers teams and managers in that time too!
Sure I hardly go at all these days but you put in over forty years first before telling me what a piss poor follower I am.
Do you know what 118, I've enjoyed you coming on here and I respect the views you hold - mine are not really that different - you have a real passion for the club BUT you're a fcuking big numpty if you can't understand simple facts like - BWFC is a business owned by one man and it is there to make money for him NOT to play pretty football for you and your mates.
Christ to hear you talk - with a crap manager, crap players, and crap followers who come on to tiny fans forums like this - it must be a bloody miracle that we are 12th in the league with three matches to go!!! Oh and Wigan, that team that are "far superior football team" as you claim - are just one place above us in 11th! Funny that we are absolutely shíte but the team just one place above us are amazing!!
We are 12th at this stage at the season for a reason BECAUSE we are better than eight other Premier teams!!!
If all you are bothered about is paying your money to watch entertainment then get your arse down to Old Trafford because it won't be happening down at the Reebok anytime soon.

Where you and your mates the 10 people who booed at the end of the first half?
Had it not been for some good goalkeeping and bad luck, that game could have finished 2-2 or 3-3! With the players we have, not many people would get us into a better position than Megson has, regardless of his managerial abilities. Teams in the top half have only just made themselves safe this weekend, but hey we should be challenging Arsenal for 4th!
As for turning out at games, I'm 20 years old, £6500 in debt and still manage every home game and around half of the away games every season and will continue to do so. Then again I might not renew and wait until Mourinho takes over. If he doesn't win his first game then I'll stop going forever!

Out of interest Manny, do you go to away games on the coach? If so, do you go by yourself or with a group of mates?

I always go to away games with a few mates, how we get there depends on where we're playing.
We either drive or get the train to the local games, yesterday we drove, but if its easier and cheaper to go on the coach we just do that. Saves fannying around with transport, especially for the London games or night matches.

Its a shame not many of us dont go to the games.
I just wanted to let you know that I am 16, have been a season ticket holder since i was 5 and only missed around 10-15 home games because of holidays and illness.
I have been to the majority of grounds in the football league as well as Cardiff twice and the Old Wembley twice - I also missed two days of school when I was 7 to go and watch the Play-Off semi-final versus Ipswich. I have also been to 4 european games and I know many others on the forum have been as loyal as myself - WE ARE NOT DELUDED AND WE DO HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY WHAT WE BELIEVE AND WHAT IS MORE LOGICAL THAN WHAT YOU SAY!
