After a couple of months without it, the PM system is now available once again.

To prevent the system from clogging up as it has done over the last few years, users can send no more than 5 PMs per hour and inboxes can hold no more than 10 messages at a time.

The maximum number of people that can be included in one PM is 3 and members with less than 25 posts will have to enter a security code prior to sending their message.

We now have the functionality to remove the service on a user by user basis. That way, the actions of individual members will not result in everybody having to go without it.

Thank you to everybody for sticking with us throughout the last couple of months. Hopefully the problem that we were having no longer exists.

Wonder how long before Sluffy has his PM rights taken away.

I haven't been given them back!

Nice to know how much I'm trusted and treated around here after all that I have done for the site - particularly when members of the new site have been sent emails from Manny trying to poach them back to here!

After what Sluffy put me through, I don't trust him and it sits very uncomfortably with me that he had or still has everyone's personal information.

Oh, you're still here then. Nice of you to reply to me the last time you posted on here. The only person who wants this to be an issue is you. How can I 'poach' people who are already members of this site. Yes, I emailed a few people and I received some really useful and mixed feedback. I have tonnes of more important things to worry about than trying to ruin somebody elses forum. We've been involved in one forum 'war' in the past and I don't want to become embroiled in another.

Seriously, good luck with your new site. I hope it becomes the success you want it to be and it causes you less aggro than this place has caused me over the last couple of years. This is the last you will read from me on the subject. Case closed.

PMs have now reopened. If the word 'Restricted' appears under a username, it means they are not available on that person's account.

Manny trying to poach them back

Pot, kettle, black, surely?!

Sluffy, if you hadn't reacted like a girl when you lost your mod privs (a decision I disagreed with and have criticised Manny for), we wouldn't have two sites with about 15 active posters each, we'd have one decent site. IMO Manny made a poor decision, and you made an even poorer one.

Squidgy and spud are indeed the same person. Don't be fooled into thinking otherwise.

Sluffs spitting his dummy out on WW's as they have also removed his PM facility.  Both sites can't be wrong surely.

Email or PM? If you meant PM, it's because of the reason below.

If the word 'Restricted' appears under a username, it means they are not available on that person's account.

It would appear that someone is trying to send me a pm, I've had a couple of pm notifications today.

Unfortunately I have been stripped of the facility to even view the membership list (very recently in fact!) let alone receive / send pms - and thus can not view the message sent.

For the person/s attempting to contact me I can be found on the new Bolton forum (whose name is not permitted to be mentioned on here without it being censored and removed) or on the tw forum whose name can and is often frequently mentioned on here.

My kindest regards to those who remember me from more peaceful times.
