I think 99% of people know what team and formation we should be playing now.

Shame our manager is in the 1% that doesn't know.

Actually I think Coyle is the only person on the planet who doesn't know. His wife probably has a better idea than him.

Regardless of what formation we play, Muamba should be in the team.

Coyle just totally underestimated Wigan today.  He clearly decided we didn't need to break-up play and could just walk to victory playing pretty stuff.

That's how it comes off anyway.

Just think if he is out of contract in the summer would he sign a new one a long with about 10 others. If I was him I dont think I would want to stay and we could be looking at a totally new team in August in the championship.

he was late to the match.

I heard this earlier. He was out on the pitch warming up before the game. So he can't have been that late.

Whatever Coyle still chose to

a) play 4-4-2 and
b) play Davies

and thus prove that he is a moron.

We need Muamba as Jimbo's stats convincingly show. We don't need 4-4-2 or Davies or Coyle.

I agree OC underestimated Wigan yesterday but when, this season with this squad in a 442, have we played 'pretty stuff' ?
All I've seen is defenders whacking the ball high upfield for KD and his partner to try to get hold of while the other team runs through us and scores plenty of goals.
OC's reputation is a classic case of the Emperor's new clothes.

The only think that could possibly come out of this is that, finally, OC will realise it's time to change and there's no going back to humping to SKD. THe fact that OC took SKD off after 60 mins suggests he realised his error..why he didn't play Muamba is beyond me though. I would have thought Muamba's name would have been one of the 1st on the team sheet yesterday. Who better to ruffle Wigan feathers in the heat of a local derby? He would have been all over their midfield like a nasty rash. Great stas there by the way - very revealing. Twitter to Gartside

How things change, according to many fans he could do no right last season or the early part of this season.

I question the usefulness of the "game where he's subbed" category.  Generally I think he gets subbed because we are losing.  As opposed to we lose because he gets subbed.

Until he tells us what the reason was, the 'late' rumour remains the truth.  Wink

He is generally subbed to allow the formation to switch from 4-5-1 to 4-4-2.

Right, which is generally done beacause we're losing.

I mean I get the stat about games he starts in or games he doesn't start in.  But the "games where he's subbed" stat is like saying "teams that bring their goalkeeper up for a corner lose 99% of the time."  They don't lose because they brought the keeper up, they brought the keeper up because they are losing.

We conceded the 2 goals against Norwich after taking him off. He was pulled in the 57th minute and the goals were scored in the 70th and 79th minute.

Correct.
