Pray For Muamba !!

« Reply #75 on: 11 February 2012, 09:17 PM »

I called for Coyle's sacking prior to the transfer window but accepted that after the window closed it would be pointless sacking him. Still gonna stand by that, he is tatically clueless when it comes to the Premier League. However, he is proven in the Championship and hopefully WHEN we go down, he'll get us back up again. Whether he'll then be a better PL manager is a open to opinions....

Coyle is a clueless c**t,we've looked half decent since we switched to 4-5-1 so why change we were totally overrun in midfield and were just bystanders for huge portions of the game.Davies and Eagles were an embarrasment shud have been dragged off halfway thru first half,23,500 mugs in the ground could see we were shocking so why could the gobshite in charge not and have the balls to change it we are doomed and we will go down thank a lot Owen.

Coyle's contract is up at the end of the season. It was speculated in December that this may be the reason why he's still here and I would probably still stand by that assumption.

We've done very well to get ourselves back in the pack in recent weeks but it's pointless picking up results against Liverpool and Arsenal if you're not going to back them up against Norwich and Wigan.

Our next two home games are QPR and Blackburn. We also have Wolves away at the end of next month. It will be those games that decide which league we'll be playing in next season.

Manny I think it's too late and we need other teams to screw up royally for us to avoid the drop now.

I just hope and pray that we dump Coyle at the end of the season. He hasn't a clue. He may have got Burnley promoted but his naivety and general cluelessness gives me no confidence that next season will see us bouncing back. Playing 4-4-2 and keeping Davies on so long today show just how useless Coyle is.

I wasn't all that upset about the Norwich defeat.  Partly because it was away and Norwich are having a good season, but mostly because it showed unequivocally that 4-4-2 with Davies will not work.  So surely, Coyle would not repeat the mistake in a must-win game against Wigan.

I guess I underestimated how stupid he is.

It's not Coyles fault, he is illiterate, he thinks tactics are little white mints.

Those stats are unbelievable. Can't we get these stats to Coyle somehow? Find out his email address give them to players on twitter.
If not we need to get them on a massive banner for the next match or sing them at him. Anything!

Although seeing them would probably make him more determined to stick with what he's doing as he'd have even more of a point to prove.

For what it is worth...probably nothing, I've emailed the club/Coyle with those stats, as well as given him my thoughts on his formation, selection and how he perceives our play on post-game Sky!

Our next two home games are QPR and Blackburn. We also have Wolves away at the end of next month. It will be those games that decide which league we'll be playing in next season.

All those sides are better than Wigan, and we were completely out-played for long periods yesterday.

Coyle must drop the 4-4-2 permanently, the players must up their desire and the crowd have to get behind the side.

The last clause there will only happen if the first two do, from experience, and how likely are the first two to happen?

There's no more room for errors, and we are still error-strewn.

Wow three away games next and not a fixture at home untill QPR on March 10th. I can see us being bottom by then and maybe 3 or 4 points behind second from bottom.  Sad Sad Sad

right enough is enough....i've avoided posting on here for some time now and for that i apologise but i'm fcuking livid....that was the most inept performance i've seen this season and we've seen a few. there's only one man to blame and thats coyle. for him to come out with the shite he did yesterday about wheater being at fault is utter crap...everyone in the ground saw that goal coming for about 20 mins beforehand apart from him...utter clueless...4-4-2 doesnt work...the system only works at the moment with muamba in the side.....kevin davies (for all he's done for the club) has lost it....its that fcuking simple!!!!!!

I am so angry when I look at the highlights of the game. I wasn't at the match unlike most of you but why did Coyle not make changes to the formation during the game. I have seen Di Santo collect the ball at the half way line, run completely unchallenged up to the edge of the penalty box and shoot just wide. That wouldn't happen in a 4-5-1 formation.
What was Petrov doing on the post for Caldwell's goal? Did anyone see that? He is just stood there doing nothing. For starters  he stood way too close to the post as he should stand maybe half a yard inside the post, not stood in front of the post and as the ball went past him he seemed to move out of the way incase he got hurt. Absolutely pathetic.
Another pathetic piece of play was from the Japanese lad. Did you see that run by Moses where he squared it back for McArthur- his tracking back was pathetic. He could have won the ball at one point and then just ambled back as McArthur ran into space.
For their second goal how bad was the positioning of our players? No central midfielders to be seen anywhere tracking the run of McArthur, only Wheather and Ricketts seemed to be defending. We looked so well organised in a 4-5-1, we stopped the opposition from playing but yesterday we looked a shambles in a 4-4-2. It was absolutely disgusting. We didn't even seem to create any decent chances in this supposedly more attacking formation that OC put out, only the Japanese lad's chance at the end was a good chance to score.
Piss poor OC and Bolton - you better switch back to a 4-5-1. If I see a 4-4-2 next time out I will be furious.

the crowd have to get behind the side.

Serious question az...how many games have you been this season? The crowd, especially away from home, have been right behind Coyle and the team. We've had a few boo's here and there but you can't expect anything else with some of the shíte we've had to watch.

When we get relegated in a few weeks time the cúnts will know what abuse is. I'll make sure of that.

I've never felt angrier about a team selection in my life, and I don't think I'm alone. When I arrived at the stadium and heard the team news I felt physically sick, and like many, knew exactly what was coming!
Coyle could not have picked a better game to hand in a teamsheet as lame as that.
The best of it is, he had a go at the players in his post match interview on GMR. Brilliant!
One thing I'm glad about is that MOTD showed just how pissed off some of us are with what's going on. I think Coyle often gets the impression we're as pathetically patient as he is, and he's truly mistaken!

You're a decent bloke Coyle, but you're out of your depth. fcúk off!

Thanks for reading,

Gloria.

That was pathetic im still fuming. What a terrific bit of business selling al habsi to wigan was. He's twice as good as jussi and bogdan.

I got absolutly wrecked last night just because of how disgusted i was with the team. We are down.

West Brom have just gone 3-1 up at Wolves with little over 10 minutes to go.

As things stand, 2 points seperate the bottom 5, with 7 points standing between 16th-placed QPR and 15th-placed Aston Villa, who have a game in hand.

Any doubts that it would be any three from the bottom five look to be quickly fading away.

Make that 4-1 to West Brom. The way things are going at the moment, I'd say the bottom three at the end of the season will be Wolves, Bolton and Wigan.

EDIT: 5-1.

I still think QPR will avoid the drop and our only hope is that we finish above Blackburn, Wolves and Wigan. Do I expect to do that? No not with that brainless idiot Coyle in charge.

Have you heard him get interviewed after todays game? We played well in the 2nd half apparently. He's full of shít and is taking us down. Twat!!!

I do wish the interviewers would grow some balls & question him more about his selection. Surely one of them must have spotted the difference between playing 4-5-1 & 4-4-2 recently, or the selection of Kavies etc.

Interesting stat in the paper. Kavies was said to be the worst passer in the league yesterday. Wasted 9 out of 16 attempts. 5 Bolton players failed to complete half their passes.

Players have to take some responsibility for that but then its also down to the tendency to go for long balls when Kev's on the pitch & they're less likely to be accurate.

Agree with Malcolm by the way. That second goal was an utter shambles.
What the hell was Zat Shite doing there for that header? If he's there how can he not win it seeing he's one of the biggest players in the league?
Then, when the ball's past him why doesn't he sprint to get back into position & help out? He just strolls to start with & then jogs. Where were the midfielders busting a gut to get back?

I've noticed it a few times this season where players make as little effort as possible to get back & help out once the ball's past them (even Muamba on occasion which he never used to).
There's no urgency to get back & help out. It's like they just assume someone else is going to win the ball & give it to them so we can attack again.

Probably because in 5-a-side once its past you its quickly either won back or in the back of the net anyway so your team's got it again either way.

That was just enraging.  I finally got a chance to watch the game this morning and I got a bad feeling straight from the team selection.  These players just don't care enough, or even at all.  Wigan battered us and we made them look like Barcelona at times.  Two chief reasons for their dominance:  1) Obviously, when we play 4-4-2 teams dominate our midfield 2, who simply cannot cover the amount of space they are expected to (Wigan's second goal is case in point) and 2) our players giving them time on the ball.  Whenever we play well, a huge part of it is due to putting pressure on the opposition.  Wigan pressed our wingers and defenders constantly.  Every other team knows that if they put enough pressure on us our lackluster defenders will end up making a mistake.  How often do you see our wingers/midfielders/fullbacks dribbling back towards our own goal looking for a pass?  This is due to pressure.  A team like Wigan we should be hassling and pressuring constantly.  By sitting them back and letting them pick their passes we give up chances and goals.

This team should be 4-5-1 every game.  Muamba should be the first name on the team sheet.  The manager is clueless and now we'll have to rely on getting results against sides like Chelsea and Man City if we want to keep pace with the bottom 5 or 6 teams.  Looking like nailed on relegation to me.

I'm sick of everyone just hating on Coyle. You guys are the most moody twats on earth, one week you hate him the next week you love him just depending on the result from the previous Saturday. I'm glad that Gartside is the chairman and not you load of idiots because you guys are the most temperamental bunch of sobs ive seen in ages

Actually, I've hated him since we lost to Norwich at home. I was getting to trust him a little more again after the Arse match, but now I detest him again.
