It's a massive game for us at the weekend against Wigan. A must win game in my opinion. What does everyone think the team will be? I reckon, even though we played pretty shít, Coyle will go with the same team that started at Norwich. If Steinsson is fit he should come back into the team though. Hopefully we get a better performance from them this weekend.
3-1 Ngog, M.Davies, Eagles.
Come On You Whites!!!

Depends how we start, should be in their faces from the off, don't dive them any time on the ball, if we keep it tight I can see us winning comfortably.
However if Coyle starts with his mindless substitutions second half I can see a nervy last half hour, with Wigan storming all over us.
3-1 Bolton.

Most important match of the season so far.....
Latics are awful, if we can't beat them at home we deserve to go down!
Bolton 1-0 Latics; Reo-Coker to score the goal.

We've struggled against hard-working sides, and Wigan have shown impressive work rate, even though they're rubbish.
Hopefully we'll win comfortably, but I could see Wigan holding us due to us thinking we can walk about and not compete.

The hard work and great results the team ground out in January appears to have been undone in an instant at Norwich at the weekend.
Best we can hope for is a draw IMO.
1-1 Petrov (because the law of averages means he won't miss the proverbial barn door at some stage).
What a difference a week makes.

If we don't turn these boys over it will be pretty dismal. Think we may keep a clean sheet in this one, especially if Connor Sammon is playing, 2-0 Wanderers.

I think we'll beat them but we'll make hard work of it. In the last five or six years, you can count on one hand the number of good performances we've put in against these.
They've really missed N'Zogbia this season and with Rodallega having a quiet season, it's no wonder they're bottom of the league.

I agree with Wiggy, we could do with putting some attacking players in from the start. N'gog (again) didn't really give us much on Saturday and I think it wouldn't be a bad thing to start Sordell.
We shall see though, I don't want to predict a score. COYWM

I'm confident for this. I don't like all this "we lost at Norwich, woe is me, relegation is back on" rubbish. We've done extremely well since the turn of the year and we need to come to terms with the fact that Norwich is now seen as a tough game. It would have been a great point if we had got one there. Coyle changed his system with half hour to go to go and get the win, it backfired and we lost but that happens at times.
It's over now. We need to be up for this Wigan game because it is massive, as every game against teams down there with us will be now. We definitely can do it, they were dreadful when we played them earlier in the season and they haven't looked much better whenever I've seen them this season. If we score early, we can win this one comfortably but if we don't the fans need to remain patient and not get on their back.
Bolton 2-0 Wigan.

He'll get an even better reception when he lets a goal in.
Will be a little strange seeing last year's 2nd and 3rd choice goalkeepers on the pitch while Jaaskelainen is on the bench.

Very good point that. Any previous team friendships aside, both will have a big point to prove.

I think the Blackburn game in December was our biggest game of the season, to date. We all said we needed to win and we did.
Since then, we've played seven league games and taken eight points. It's not a great record but when you look back at our nine points from 16 games, it's a dramatic upturn in form that's given us a chance of survival.

I think we're better man-for-man and in better form than Wigan, so we should win. Unfortunately, this is Bolton we're talking about.....we have a way of messing up.
Hopefully we'll get a decent crowd in with the £5 tickets and we can get some atmosphere going.......no laughing at the back!

If you want to cheer yourself up have a look at some of the predictions from the Wigan Vital football forum http://www.wigan.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=17336&start=1Can't see anything but a Bolton win. They will throw everything at us that we don't like and can't deal with. Long high balls, lots of tackle's, close us down quickly so we can't play our sleepy passing game. They will basically kick us off the park, and then score 2 in the 2nd half when we've given up.
Bolton 4 - 0 Wigan
This campaign is as good as over for us.
We're awful. 2-0 Bolton. It's not being pessimistic it's the fact that we are a joke of a team and really need to get our act together if we want to finish above 20th place.

Coyle says Miyaichi, Sordell and Ream are all ready to play on Saturday. "We played a game the other day for the lads who needed a bit of match sharpness," Coyle told the club's official website. "Ryo was one of those involved.
"He is an exciting young player and I believe he has got a fantastic career ahead of him. He did wonderfully well on loan at Feyenoord last year and he comes here with a chance to play his part at Bolton Wanderers.
"I feel our staff can help him develop, so for me it's a win-win-win situation.
"He's young, exciting, quick and the type of winger I love watching. He's getting better with the language, not that he'll ever be able to understand my accent, and as he gets more and more familiar with the squad we'll take things forward from there.
"The three new lads will certainly be in the squad. Everything was sorted with Tim's passport and work permit on Monday so he is in contention, and Ryo and Marvin have had a week to train with the rest of the lads.
"It's not always easy if you're a young player trying to integrate into new surroundings, but the lads have taken to them well."
http://www.burndenaces.co.uk/news/ryo_ready_for_trotters_bow_2230I hear Sordell picked up a bit of an injury in the friendly against Preston but doesn't seem to be any doubts that he's fit to play.
