The last home game of the season, against West Brom, has been put back by 24 hours to avoid a clash with the FA Cup final.

All Premier League games due to be played on Saturday 5th May 2012 will now take place the following day.

What would happen if we are in the final? It's always possible.

The West Brom game would be played on a different date.

As it's the final week of the season it'll probably be played on the Wednesday night after the cup final. That's what happened last season with City and Stoke.

To be honest it is very sensible not to have them on the same day as the FA Cup should be treated more special than just another game on a normal playing day.

If anything the FA Cup should be the last game of the season - in the same sense that the Community/Charity shield is the first game of the season - and, I believe, should be played a week after the last league day.

I agree that it should be the last game. They moved it last year because the Champions League final was at Wembley on a Saturday and they've moved it this year because the Euros are in the summer and the season has to finish so long before the tournament starts.

Makes you think why they didn't just start the season a week earlier. To top it all, the FA Cup final is at 5:15 this year too. Just doing away with all tradition.

They might aswell just have the game at midnight on a Tuesday at Upton Park instead and take all the splendour out of the "pride and joy" of the English game.
