I think we did ok, injected some pace to the team. Guess it could have been better, but I think we did more to stregnthen than Wigan or Blackburn and Wolves, si I am resonably happy with this window.

January is a month where teams tend to overpay for players and panic buy. I don't think we did either of those.

We sold Gary Cahill for £7million. Hardly the fee we all wanted, but with 6 months left on his contract it's still a lot of money for somebody who could have left for nothing at the end of the season.

We've replaced him with a player for £2million, while also bringing a winger and a striker to the club. We've signed players in the positions we needed and made a tidy profit over the course of the month to go with it.

I'd say the signings have been a bit of a gamble but if we are 17th or above on May 13th, they'll have been successful ones.

Good window, in my opinion. Brought in three good young players, who look like they will only get better. Have to be happy with it!

If it hadn't been for the victories over Everton, Liverpool, and Swansea, I'd be sh*tting myself.  I don't see these guys as making a dramatic short term impact.

However, we've shown in the last month that we might just have enough to stay up, so perhaps it's best to make these long term investments in Ream and Sordell.

All in all a pretty positive window.  Sordell and ream look like long term investments, and is there any point in in bringing ryo here unless he's going to get game time.

Asked an Arsenal fan friend about Ryo and she said that Arsene only loans out players that are on the brink of making it in the first team and just need a bit of exposure and, for players he sends to us, a backbone.  All in all she thinks he's good enough for us to use him.

Time will tell on Ream and Sordell; however, I think we did well in the window overall.

I'd say a good window.  Of course much will depend on how good Ream and Sordell turn out, but I'm tentatively hopefull.

Without seeing them play as yet, I think we have had a good window. We've got some money for Cahill although it wasn't anywhere near what we imagined we might get for him and replaced him with a fairly quick 24 year old US international. We've signed a young rapid right winger who could be more than a useful option from off the bench as we don't have many at the moment. As we all know Coyle seems to have a good eye for a January loan deal. Finally, we all haven't seen much of Sordell but he clearly has potential to play at in the Premier League and will be a good addition to the side

I think it has been indifferent. Can't see Ream being an improvement on Knight or Wheater, Miyaichi will be a sub at best (similar to Kakuta) and Sordell will struggle for a while to get to grips with the PL. I really can't see where he will fit in? Ngog, Davies, Klasnic, Tuncay and Sordell all fighting for 1 spot!! Think he is probably just an investment for the future. He is hardly going to save our season is he?

SJM

A couple of questions for you:-

1)  Why can you not see Ream being an improvement on Knight or Wheater.  What are you basing this on?

2)  "Miyaichi will be a sub at best."  Again, based on what?

3)  Sordell will struggle for a while to get to get to grips with the PL.  You mean like Daniel Sturridge, Grant Holt, Scott Sinclair, Nathan Dyer, etc all struggled??

Honestly, it does my nut in when folk are negative for the sake of being negative.  Give the lads a chance before writing them off.

Very happy with the window and the way we are going about our business these days.  Getting promising youngsters in without paying way over the odds.  I hope we're still a Premiership side next year but if we're not, I feel a lot happier about the state we'll be in and the players we'll still have.
