Tomorrow night 6-7pm, Gary Megson will be on Radio Manchester and apparently he's getting it all off his chest.

Will anyone be listening in or ignoring the fanny like he deserves?

I'll give it five minutes if I remember. It's been pre-recorded from what I can gather so there will probably be something online in the morning before it actually airs on the radio.

I heard some of it on Saturday when I was driving to the football.

The few minutes they aired then was enough for me.

He mentioned he was the only manager to beat the dmbs at the Reebok, how he took us further in Europe than any manager and how us fans never wanted him.

The same stuff he said after he got sacked tbh. I don't know why radio manchester or Megson thought it needed repeating now.

Apparently he's claiming he was "ordered" to lose in the UEFA Cup, by PG.

You couldn't make it up....oh wait.

One of his claims that Gartside told him to lose in Europe (quite a ludicrous claim to be honest) is already being strongly disputed by Garty on twitter.

"...worst ever start...furthest it's ever been in Europe...beat Manchester United...face doesn't fit...fans made it clear from the start."

Yep. It could only be, a Gary Megson interview! He has it memorised like a script. Let's break it down:

Worst ever start -  NO IT WASN'T!

Furthest it's ever been in Europe - WE'VE ONLY BEEN IN EUROPE TWICE! WE GOT TO THE LAST 32! THAT'S NOTHING!

Beat Manchester United - SO WHAT?

Face doesn't fit - YOU CALLED US 'PATHETIC'. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?

Fans made it clear from the start - YOUR RECORD WAS shíte! FANS OF ANY ESTABLISHED TOP FLIGHT CLUB WOULD HAVE REACTED EXACTLY THE SAME TO SUCH AN UNINSPIRING APPOINTMENT!

Thanks for reading,

Gloria.

I'd rather eat my own faeces.

Yes, he did a good job in his first season here keeping us up.  Yes, he signed some decent players for us.

.. but ... and I don't use this word lightly, he's a cnut of the highest order.

He treated us fans with utter comptempt and never admitted ANYTHING was his fault.  I remember us getting dicked on the opening day of his last season with us (was it Sunderland at home?)  We had the most negative midfield I had ever seen - McCann on the right! - and even though the scoreline was narrow we could've easily lost 5-0 or 6-0.  I think we had two shots on goal all game.  At the end of the game he merely said it was poor defending for their goal that had cost us.

Absolute wnaker.

Listening to that interview would make me not responsible for my actions.  I could well go and murder a random passer-by.

See, I'm angry just thinking about listening to it.

Grrr.

Hi Peter.

Don't worry! I feel exactly the same. It takes a lot for a man to get my back up (steady...) but this fella knows just what buttons to press. I would listen tonight, but I can't handle the anger that his blatant lies fill me with.

Why have GMR even decided to do this interview in the first place.

Talk about us fans not moving on, they are even worse for even agreeing to this IMO.

Unless Megson has himself said he wants to do the interview, why he would want to say all the usual crap again is beyond me.

I wouldn't listen to it if he was our manager now so I will not be going out of my way to listen to night.

Gary Megson's Bolton record:
Pld 99, W 27, D 27, L 45

Owen Coyle's Bolton record (as of 26/01/2012):
Pld 96, W 33, D 17, L 46

If all of those matches had been in the league, Megson would have accumulated 108 points compared to Coyle's 116. There isn't that much difference between them really.

It's great to see we've won more games under Coyle, but after initially making strides forward we've quickly fallen back to where we were in the first place under Megson.

Those stats though don't show how much each manager has had to spend, not only in transfer fees, but in wages.

I'd say it's a fairly safe bet to say Megson had a hell of a lot more yet still amassed less points ... and served only to alienate the club's lifeblood (its fans) in the process.

I'd like to spend an hour with Megson . . . . . . with a baseball bat in a padded cell.

Its not been easy but i have finally managed to get him out of my system, don't even look at the Wendy's results any more, but he just can't let it drop can he.

Today, 18:00 on BBC Radio Manchester
 26/01/2012
Ian Cheeseman looks back on the life and times of a Greater Manchester sporting hero.

Not my words but what has been put on the bbc, here was me thinking it was going to be about the ginger one ranting and raving about us for a whole hour.

Go on then. 6 weeks ago everybody was calling for Coyle's head and rightly so. One decent month doesn't make up for the terrible 12 that came before it.

Put the bad feelings towards Megson to one side, look at our league position and say we've moved forward. 12 months ago we were firmly in the top 8 and now we're lucky to be out of the bottom three.

No point throwing back at me that everyone was calling for Coyle's head 6 weeks ago - I wasn't. You say it's "rightly so" - I disagree on that point too.

Most fans are fickle and only care about 3 points. If we lose any game, they're not happy. Even when you lose at Old Trafford, all the players are rubbish, the manager is clueless, etc etc.

Nobody appreciates the bigger picture.

You said "we've quickly fallen back to where we were in the first place under Megson". It's as though you think that 12-18 months of improved results and performances on fewer resources counts for nothing because we had a poor 2011.

Coyle has a much more difficult job than Megson did but at no point has watching Wanderers been so negative and depressing as under Megson.

The fans who were calling for Coyle to be sacked 6 weeks ago don't appreciate the fact the guy has had 4, now 5, transfer windows with no money to spend, horrendous luck with injuries and fixtures, or any appreciation of the fact that he took over a squad of overpaid, ageing mediocre players, who, with the exception of Gavin McCann, were all under contract for at least another 18 months.

This Summer, he will be able to complete his work of reducing the wage bill, reducing the average age of the squad, and get rid of the last of the deadwood.

He has a totally different job to do than Megson, in far more difficult circumstances, and I believe if will prove those who would sack him out of short sightedness wrong.

He's just an average manager, with potential, doing the best he can.

Coyle took over with the huge advantage that most fans wanted him and even cheered his name when we lost.

The fact that he has a worse league record than Megson is amazing. He should have been binned weeks ago for being incompetant.
