I think we all know that not every rumour is true but have a read of the following article. It would be a lot more believeable if they actually got the facts right.

Quote
Nigel Reo-Coker has reportedly been identified as a potential target for Liverpool. The former West Ham midfielder who played against Liverpool in the famous 2006 FA Cup Final was approached by ‘King Kenny’ after the game between Bolton and Liverpool this week, which ended in triumph for Owen Coyle’s men. He would cost the Merseyside team somewhere in the region of £4-8 million.

Nigel Reo-Coker has been one of Bolton’s most consistent performers all season, but it is really by chance that he has got a chance in the midfield; when they return from injury, it is expected that Coyle will re-instate Stuart Holden or Matt Taylor into the centre of midfield to partner Fabrice Muamba.

If this deal is to go through, Liverpool will have to cough up a considerable amount of money for him; Owen Coyle has already seen his star player Gary Cahill be sold to Chelsea for £24 million.

Would that be tapping up then?

Reo-Coker being 'tapped up', Matt Taylor still at Bolton and Cahill being sold for £24million make every single bit of that article unbelieveable.

Just seen that. I wasn't aware such websites have deadlines. Newspapers maybe, but not a website such as this or that.

It is possible it's Reo Coker's agent putting shite stories out like this to any journalist gullible enough to run with it.

I read on a Villa forum that Reo Coker was being linked with Milan when his contract was running out.  Cue much hilarity when he signed for us

I genuinely laughed when I read that. Is this an actual serious piece of journalism or someone having a laugh? I hope it's serious. I really hope it is!
