That's no surprise coming from Gretar. He's a Bolton fan and loves the club. He is a bit of a weakness for us at full-back at times. But I don't really mind seeing him play because he really cares about the club and always tries his hardest. Plus, he's not that bad

I love Gretski, even though he can be shaky at times, i'm not afraid to say he's one of my favourite players simply because he bloody cares and wants the club to do well, he loves football and appreciates the oppurtunities he has been given. Much more than can be said than for some of the dossers playing nowadays with no care but for the money.

Aye, I am a fan of Gretar, one of the only players I have ever had on the back of my shirt.

Not the greatest right back but for passion there is nobody better in the team IMO.

He's certainly looked a different player since he came back into the team at Blackburn.  Prior to that he'd been awful.

Personally I don't particularly care whether a player loves the club or how much he pumps his fists to get the crowd going.  I want players wearing that white shirt who are competent. For too long he'd been incompetent and was a liability - his display at Blackpool last season as one of the worst full-back displays I have EVER seen.  Whether or not his dip in form was due to the rumours about his private life I'm not sure, but he didn't deserve his place in the side.

In the last few games, however, he's looked like the Steinsson that we first signed and fully deserves his place in the team at the moment.

I'm happy for him becuase he seems like a nice guy, but most importantly I'm happy because we've got a capable RB in the team again.

I think this is largely due to the emergence of Riley and imminent recovery of Mears. It's amazing what a bit of competition for places can do for a players form.

More likely that he has resolved his personal issues and got his head sorted out.
