Nice to see the Liverpool fans have learnt their lesson. Every single one of them stood on their feet for the entire 90 minutes today. Hypocrites!

I thought the same.

They're scum though so we shouldn't expect anything else from them.

Jesus thats harsh!  Although Hillsboro led to all seater stadia the reason for the accident wasn't for folk standing - it was poor policing & poor ticket allocation.

The reason we all have to sit down at football is because of what happened that day.

If the Liverpool fans hadn't forced their way into the ground then ticket allocation wouldn't have been a problem.

It's their fans that push the campaigns for justice and all seater stadia but they're just as bad as any other club.

But that aint true.  The fans didn't force their way into the ground.  A gate was opened to ease a crush outside leading to a far worse crush inside.  Their fans push for justice (quite rightly imo) but I'm not aware of them insisting on all seater stadia.

The gate was opened because drunk ticketless fans charged the gates, only hindsite tells us that opening the gates made things worse rather than better, but without a load of pissed up scousers causing mayhem the gates wouldn't have been opened-they've never been opened before or since You should all know scousers are never to blame for anything.

Do we? Really? I must have missed that. I'm sure I remember sitting down yesterday, but you're scouse and say otherwise, so I'm obviously wrong.

How's about a bit of justice for the Burnden dead?

We have our own disaster and that was related to letting in too many fans, too.

Spot on , but again this was someone else's fault, I was going to say they are scum but that's harsh as they have some quality fans, but they're minority are amongst the worst around.
This is an interesting read

Turned up late
Turned up pissed
Turned up without tickets
Didn't want to form an orderly queue
Originally admitted they were in the wrong
The compensation crew got hold of it
Now we have the justice for the 96 scam.

Being an away fan and standing for 90 minutes is becoming more and more common these days. I stood up at West Brom, Swansea and Wigan this season.

Just watch who complains the loudest at Villa's proposals for a standing area (which I think is a great idea as long as they don't allow kids in there). With modern turnstiles, ticket & monitoring technology it shouldn't be a problem.

Apart from the embarrassing yoof corner, the Reebok is pretty much always quiet with everybody sat on their backsides.

Personally, I have no problem with standing at games. I just find it a bit hypocritical that Liverpool fans make the most noise about safe seating yet they're the worst offenders when it comes to standing.

You're letting your hatred of scousers get the better of you.  All the allegations you make in the 1st 4 sentences were discredited by the Taylor report.  I'm not aware that Justice Taylor is(was?) a Scouser

Just because a group of bureaucrats said so to try and diffuse things doesn't mean it didn't happen. I know someone who was on police duty and all things said did happen. But because the scousers shouted the loudest a whitewash happened.

Is this the same Taylor Report that said supporters should sit down for safety reasons? Seems the scousers ignore that part of it.

As I posted in the Joke bit the other day:

What's the difference between a cow and a tragedy?

A scouser wouldn't know how to milk a cow.

Heysel, Hillsborough, Athens . . . Scousers like to blame anything and anyone else - bad stadium design, bad policing, etc. - but there's an obvious pattern here.  Forget the 5 year ban, forget the Taylor report, all the problems could have been solved by liquidating LFC.
