Back last summer when we signed NRC I was very critical of him saying he was rubbish and I didn't rate him. I am not saying this because he has scored a goal today, its just everytime I have seen us play on TV this season, NRC looks head and shoulders as our best player. He looks a really solid good player. I was definitely wrong on him. Anyone else been impressed with him?

I had to laugh at NRC in the interview after the game. When asked by the woman interviewing him 'was Craig Bellamy winding you up today?" NRC replied "Craig Bellamy is Craig Bellamy, I have no respect for him so he can do whatever he wants to do". lol I love it.

He was MotM for me today. It took a while for the penny to drop with Owen but a 5 man midfield with NRC & Fab in there looks more solid than the 4-4-2 we had been playing.

That's up there with SKD's comment to Evra. NRC is now a new throw away comment hero of mine.

Awesome today, not sure what happened with Bellamy.
His shot that went out for throw-in was so bad, but he was allowed that, given his goal and performance.

I think Bellamy was accusing Reo Coker of going down too easy in the first half. Looked like Nige told him to fúck off and was going to twat him at half time until Knight dragged him away.
I thought Reo Coker had a great game today.

Reo-Coker was massive for us today, and that's the best I've seen from a Bolton captain a long, long time.
I was hoping he'd come in and do this, and earn the armband, so I'm delighted.

I have rated him since we played Villa last March and he ran the show against us. Top player and an obvious leader on the pitch.

Out of all the signings in the summer he was the one I was most excited about, always been a good player he just needs to keep his head right, by all accounts he could start an argument in an empty room. No problems with him having a pop at Bellamy though - TV gold.

From what I read, the aggro between Bellamy and Reo-Coker started when Bellamy was asked his opinion when West Ham signed Kieron Dyer, and Bellamy said "he's just like Reo-Coker, except he can play".

the only good thing about Bellamy is he can play in the fimal 3rd of the pitch.Had his mum kept up the ugly pills when he was born people would not have a ptoblem with his comments. for me hed have been better off in the new planet of the aps film, and hed not need make up, as he could play him self

I love Nije now after his comments about Bellamy. He's just the type of player we need playing for us. Not afraid of telling the big boys of the premier league what he thinks of them! Just shows that we are not here to mess about and to win football matches. Coyle couldn't have picked a better man to be our captain!

Seems it was a matter of time before he was given the captains armband, after that performance yesterday it was fully deserved.
Shame he just didn't call Bellamy a fanny on camera just to say what he really thought.

We have been missing a 'character' in the team for while now, it looks like we finally have one and a good player to boot. I want to see our players winding up the opposition and getting involved in bust-ups cos it shows they give a damn. We have been far too nice for too long so I hope Nige can shake things up a bit.

Yeah, that'd reflect well on the club. It's been ages since we had a real captain's display on the pitch....most welcome.

Yeah, that'd reflect well on the club.
I doubt it would do much harm tbh. Most people probably agree.

He only signed a 2-year contract! That needs to be extended the moment after we secure survival.

Only Bolton would give NRC two years and Pratley four.

Pratley's probably on less than half of what NRC is on which explains it.
We didn't pay a fee for NRC so it's not like we'll be writing off a transfer fee if he leaves. I think it;s a safe bet to assume that NRC thought he'd end up at a bigger club than us in the summer but that never happened. It may well be that he didn't want to sign up to us for as long as 4 years.

True enough, Paul. Reo-Coker did think he was set for a top 6 club, here or in Spain. When no offer materialised, he was forced to talk to "lesser" clubs and, after quite a while, take a wage cut.
But he's here now, so we will hopefully extend his deal in the summer when we stay up.
