Odd that nobody has bothered with a match thread, it's only a couple of days away.

My mistress, youporn, satisfies all my needs. I am bored right now though. I'm even considering going back into work, mouth ulcer or not.

We usually get around 1,500 tickets because we always take a poor following. Still on sale as far as I know. Manny +1 will be in attendance.

I hate this fixture, that low life Rooney and that horrible creature with the knighthood, I have hated that club and its fans since my school days at Hesketh Fletcher, I need to keep well away from my radio, If we come away with a point and no injuries I will have very nice Sunday, may even take the wife out for a meal.

Is it just me that thinks that Jussi is conveniently injured quite a bit recently with minor niggles now we have hit a bad run when he has been practically injury free for years? I'm not sure whether it's just a matter of Coyle giving Bogdan a bit more exposure or something a little more sinister on the Jussi bottling it front.

Somebody at my local claimed Coyle & Jussi have had a barney, which is why he isn't playing. I think this rings true as the last time he played he was rowing with the centre backs all 2nd half cos they kept leaving it for him but he kept staying on his line. He should have been bollocked after that performance, in fact he's been crap all season but it can't be easy playing behind the worst defence in the league.

Bloke in a pub? Must be true then. Oh and we'll get beat. There's more important games to win this season.

"Jaaskelainen suffered the injury in Wanderers' draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers on New Year's Eve".
He was stood right in front of me all 2nd half of that match and I did not witness this 'injury'. All I saw was an incompetent bell-end arguing with his CBs all half. Looked like he completely lost his head to me and probably took that attitude back in the changing room with Coyle.
Blokes in pubs never lie!

Off to Old Trafford in about an hour or so. It would be memorable if we could pull off a win. Saying that, I'd be more than happy with a point. My optimism has improved, as it looks like Coyle has finally seen the light, and his willingness to change his obligatory 4-4-2 system, reaped the rewards again Everton. If we go 4-5-1 again today, we have a very good chance. United look to have a few injury problems, and recorded back to back defeats, before their win at Man City, so who knows what Man United will turn up. Hopefully the team that played Blackburn. I'd be surprised if Cahill started, as judging by reports, he'll be Chelsea player by kick off. Even so though, even if we had him available, I wouldn't play him. As far as I'm concerned he's a Chelsea player. He's been a good player for us, always stayed focused, never complained to the media; however there does come a point, where we have to move on, and start to look forward to the next half of the season, without him. Now, the Knight / Wheater combo doesn't really instill much confidence into me. However, as long as his work permit his passed, Tim Ream should be ours. Judging from the reports from American people: - He's quick, comfortable in position (now we know why Arsenal and West Brom were after him); however apparently, he has a tendency to be caught out of position. Saying that, he sounds like an improvement on Knight, so hopefully, just like Stuart Holden did, he'll have the same impact, and just slot in seamlessly into the side. We have a tough few games coming up; no doubt. After our trip to the Theatre of Dreams, we then play Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea. However, we shouldn't be just writing these games off. We play the ganners and Liverpool at our place, so who knows. It's just paramount, that we pick up SOMETHING from these games, so the rest of the relegation teams, don't get too far adrift. If we can stay in touching distance, then with the games that we have coming up in February, (Wigan etc); then we have a chance of staying in the premier league. As for today, I don't expect much in terms of points, but you never just know.

If we get anything better than United 4-0 Bolton, I'll be satisfied.
I can't see anything other than us getting absolutely torn to shreds today. Hope I'm wrong.

I'm not very optimistic about today. So I'm not going to predict a score. Hopefully I'm wrong though. We've done it before.
