With all the abuse the club and players get, and the negative nonsense, it'd be a destructive thing to do, for the same reason a lot of celebs don't read the gossip about them in the papers. You mean like a lot of celebs SAY they don't read stuff about themselves?? If I was a professional footballer I'd like to know what my own fans really thought of me. I might not like what I hear, but it'd be too tempting not to try and find out.

They can't help themselves......their ego forces them to read it all.... ... most of these players crave the attention and love the fact they're local celebrities...

Paul, I can't remember if it was on here or the other forum I use, but someone mentioned Paul Robinson going mental when someone shouted "it's just not good enough Robbo" at him at a game at the Reebok earlier this season. Then you have Kevin Davies' wife on Twitter who has a hissy fit when anyone criticises Kev. So I just don't agree, Paul. These people live different lives to us fans. They will usually stop for a photo or an autograph and even do the occasional visit to a childrens' ward or a school or coach some kids, but when it comes to day to day contact with critical and demanding fans hiding behind the anonymity of a keyboard and individuals wanting to make a name for themselves by goading them, I very much doubt the vast majority will come within a mile of that.
Maybe I wasn't using the best comparison with celebs reading newspaper stories, it's not really the same thing as someone posting, "you were shíte today" or "why don't you piss off back to West Brom" or "your wages are a disgrace" and all the other gripes we share between ourselves about them, on a regular basis.
It's for that exact reason whenever a famous person does an online chat session there are moderators filtering the comments and questions. It's not just because there would be too many to read, it's to protect that person from abuse and other shíte.

I bet some do go on forums & post as let's face it they have far too much time on their hands & it gives them a break from gambling & gang-raping women.
With regards to the other site, I ended up having a gander because of this but I don't like the look of it & I really can't be arsed posting on more than one forum. Fair play to those of you that do. However, they may have one distinct advantage in having a particular sticky thread which you wouldn't have here.
As for Shittam. She/he/it'll be loving the fact there's a thread dedicated to her/him/it on here.
I didn't like her/him/it but do kind of miss them as I quite enjoy arguing with mentally unstable retards.
The most interesting thing about Shittam was that her name backwards is Mattih Wah Satan.
Any scholar will tell you that in ancient Hebrew "Mattih Wah" means "Spawn of". Explains a lot.

Genius. I've never seen anyone bullshit in ancient Hebrew on a footy forum before. That gets my "post of the week" award

Cool. What do I win?
Feel free to use it on other forums where she's spouting bile.
The really weird thing is that (having looked) in Hebrew Mattih can actually mean "Gift of" & Wah can mean "to become".
No shíte.

it gives them a break from gambling & gang-raping women. Quick, name the two Bolton strikers he was referring to.

Personally, I think I'd make a pretty good Zat Knight.
You must have fairly low self-esteem, then.
