After watching Peterboro vs Sunderland the best bit being the first nine minutes
without commentary due to a technical hitch, the boro fans were giving a passable
rendition of their version of Sos Cagon.Again tonight watching the Palace v Cardiff
game the palace fans were doing it justice too.We have tried it at Liverpool but it never
caught on.So what do you think should we use songs from abroad, does it work,or
does it just feel wrong.Any links of good footage will be appreciated

I think I know what he is on about, there is some like chant that teams in the football league do that does not really have any words in it.  I wondered where it had come from and what it was about.

Songs in England nowadays are just shíte and unoriginal.  What tends to happen is a team's fans 'invent' a song and then it is nicked by all other teams and the players name replaced.

I'm thinking of when Arsenal first started with "Vieira, Oh, oh, oh, Vieira, Ohohoh, he came from Sengal... etc, etc".

We managed to shoehorn "Hierro", "Madrid" and "quid" into the same tune.

Liverpool (a compliment heading LFC's way here Wink) seem to be the most inventive though with their ditties for Maxi Rodriguez and Luis Suarez.  Again though, these songs quickly get hijacked by fans of every other team.

One song I CANNOT stand due to hearing it sung by every set of fans in the country at every game is "I wanna go home, I wanna go hooooome, [insert town name here] is a sh!thole, I wanna go home".

I think we were the only ones who ripped of that "who's that coming over the hill" one.

For the record I fookin' hate Wet Spams 'forever blowing bubbles'. Not only do I hate it, but it continues to irritate me for hours afterwards as I can't get the pigging tune out of my head.

I find it reeeeeaally annoying when Spurs fans sing "When the Spurs go marching in" really, really slowly.

Don't know why, it just gets on my nerves.
