We love u bolton we do!

« on: 07 April 2009, 08:30 AM »

i believe after the destruction of middlesborough the lads are quite confident to face chelsea but as long as we keep a cool head and not back out, proud of the boys for what theyve achieved, 8 points from the drop well done

I agree, The Lads will be a lot more confident after the boro win, But lets not forget Boro were absolute dross and without being too negative there was a load still wrong with BWFC's team.
Elmander cant score for toffee at the moment all though i am confident he will, and i still cant get my head round why  smolerek wasnt played especially after the 4 he got on international.

McCann and Muamba were very average, Basham did better when he came on , and as for Defence, Shittu is still a worry for me and Steinsson is not particularly playing well at the moment. Samuel had a good game by his standards but a quality left back he is not.

I can just see Anelka and Drogba running rings around the back four.

I would extremly happy with a point, but lets just hope everyone below us loses are draws

If we lose it will probably be Megson out time!

As always, I'm expecting the worst but will take anything we can get. We either get hammered down at Stamford Bridge or hold out for a draw.

I cannot see us winning this because with out trying to sound too Anti-Megson he seems to me like he is already looking past the game!

Now I know that we are more likely to get something from Pompey away or Villa at home but still lets turn up and give Chelsea a bloody good game!

We have lost all of our other 7 games against the top 4 this season and only scored 1 goal. I would really like to see us get stuck in against the pansies and win either a battling point or even a surprise victory!

But unless we turn up for the fight we will probably get turned over 2-0! Nothing embarrasing but just enough that they do the job and they can move on in their title bid and we prepare for our remaining games.

Well I guess it's not a bad time to play Chelsea!

First of all they have to play Liverpool tomorrow in the QF of the Champions League - then us three days later - then the second leg against Liverpool another three days later - then Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final four days later!

Secondly they are four points behind - and played a game more than - United in the Premiership table.  Maybe they no longer see the League title as a priority?

And lastly, we are more or less safe from promotion - so maybe we might give the game a go - rather than rolling over against one of the big four, like we have been doing so recently.

Although after saying all that - I'm not too hopeful of our chances!

I think £46 a ticket and £26 travel has put a few people off, including me! No idea how many are going.

Im guessing, bar any injuries, the team will be the same as the one that played against Boro and there's no reason to change it really.

Im not expecting much so i'd be happy with a point, just hope we dont get thrashed!

Better side in the first 5 minutes, Taylor almost caught Cech out with a free kick similar to last week, but went for the near post.

Chelsea stepped up since but neither side really created anything.

So so close. Cahill off the line in the last minute, although I think it may have hit Andy O'Brien. If it did he couldn't do anything about it.

That penalty has turned into a very costly decision. Never handball, Steinsson's hands were behind his back!

All in all, never expected anything, would have been very disappointed with 4-0 but 4-3 given the circumstances is a great result. Not so damaging on the goal difference.

Well what a great effort from the lads! I just wish we had some luck - we never get the fairytale ending like today dodgy pen, goal cleared off the line in last min and others coming very close.

At least we should be sky high confidence wise for the Pompey game.

Lawrensen on MOTD gave us no credit at all for the comeback and even called us Blackburn. Nice to know we're appreciated!

Great come back from the lads. I couldn't believe the comeback!h
We got some good comments from the soccer saturday lot, apart from Geoff Stelling.
I was glad to see Basham had a big impact, I think he will be a big player for us next season.
