So we get a weekend off from stressing about relegation this week. A nice F.A Cup game away to Macclesfield. I think we'll make quite a few changes for this game. I doubt Cahill will play even if he's still with us, I have a feeling he'll play Robbo at left back, Pratley will start as will Kevin Davies. Probably a couple more changes too. We should win this quite easily no matter what team we put out. Rarely turns out to be that easy though. What does everyone think?

3-1 K.Davies, Knight, Eagles.

5-0 bolton, I think we will see a back 4 of Riley, Wheats, Knight and Robbo.

I think he will leave cahill out completley and bring back SKD and Tuncay and I think we may see O'halloran.

GK - Bogdan
RB - Riley
CB - Wheater
CB - Knight
LB - Robinson
RM - Eagles
CM - Pratley
CM - Muamba
LM - Petrov
ST - K Davies
ST - Tuncay

Got a feeling we may see a surprise though and Klasnic starts.

Pretty much the way I see it though I hope he rests Petrov and plays Obadeyi instead. And leaves Klasnic on the bench.

Isn't he on loan or did I dream that?

Either way he hasn't got close to the bench and can't ever remember seeing him the reserves so I doubt he will be in contention for saturday.

He was on loan at Chesterfield but came back at Christmas. He couldn't even break into their team.

Obadeyi has had enough loan spells down the years and failed to impress anywhere. Always looked poor when I've seen him in the reserves. Time to cut our losses on this one I think.

I saw him against Liverpool reserves a while back and he was the best player on the pitch.

Like you said though he's had enough chances to impress when he's been on loan and has struggled.

I doubt he's ever gonna make it with us.

Not sure about playing the same team but the player I would keep in is N'gog, give him the opportunity to get some more goals and that will obviously give him confidence going into the united game.

I'd like to see O'Halloran perhaps play some part because he's been on the bench a lot-could do with a few minutes.

Maybe Mark Connolly too seeing as he's only an injury or two away from being in the team with no experience.

I'd expect to be seeing something along these lines:

GK: Bogdan
RB: Riley
CB: Wheater
CB: Connolly
LB: Robinson
RM: Tuncay
CM: S. Davis
CM: Vela/Pratley
LM: Eagles
ST: Kevin Davies/Robbie Blake
ST: N'gog/O'Halloran

Hard to know what the thinking will be re keeping Bogdan fit if Jussi' injury will keep him out a while.

Bob's list is probably fairly close, in terms of who will play, though I'd be tempted to add Blakeman somewhere down the left.

Gutted I couldn't get a ticket, to be honest.

--------------------Bogdan

--Riley----Wheater----Knight----Robinson

--Tuncay---S.Davis---Pratley----Eales

------- Davies--------Klasnic

I think he'll want to pait Knight and Wheater together as they'll be our first choice CB pairing yet I can't remember them ever playing together.

There's no way Coyle will risk Ngog in this game.

Was going to go but they sold out and I wasn't expecting that.

These games are never straight forward.  We should win but will probbaly be by a narrow margin.

Hopefully there'll be a stream online, not always guaranteed for Bolton round three of the cup.  I bought a pie anyway, so I'll be there in spirit.

There will be an online stream somewhere as it is actually/surprisingly on TV live over here.  Presume Sky are showing it too?

Anyone know if there are any radio stations doing commentary on the internet? I Can't see the match itself being on any of the usual dodgy internet links.

There will be, "There are 9 stations announced to broadcast this match." Sky don't have the rights to the Budweiser Cup, afaik, though we're not on ESPN either.
