Looking like he'll get 13 points from his first 6 games.  Gartside is an idiot.

Are you suggesting we should have got O'Neil?  We'd have got nowhere near him.

More suggesting that we should have been trying to get a bounce from bringing a new man in.

Sunderland now in tenth position with 24 points from 20 games. A vastly improved standing to where they were when Bruce was sacked.

With them thumping Wigan tonight it really does look like any three from five at the bottom will end up being relegated.

We should have at least tried to get him back in October/November.  You don't ask, you don't get.

In the case of us and O'Neill even if you ask you don't get.

Anyone who thinks O'Neill would've even considered us is living in cloud cuckoo land.

Why on earth would he join us?  The reason he left Villa was because even though he'd spent £100m, Randy Lerner told him there was no more money unless he offloaded some players.  He spat his dummy out and left.  Does anyone honestly think he'd have come here to be told, "You can spend whatever you get for Cahill... but the wage bill cannot increase." ??

Spurs and Sunderland are the only unbeaten teams over the Christmas period.  Sunderland's improvement is all down to O'Neill.
