Can anyone confirm when he's due to start on-field training again? I'm told it's supposed to be next week, but that seems a bit early.
People were a bit deflated when he arrived. There was a kind of "he's meant to solve the right back issue?" feel to it all, but I'd welcome him with open arms right now. With Ricketts down the left and Mears down the right I'd feel a lot more comfortable with our fullbacks than i have for most of the season.

I haven't seen much mentioned of him on the official website. Lee and Sean Davis are close to return apparently, but havent seen anything mentioed about him.
Hopefully have him back and available soon. Good to see him in action.

All the reports after his injury seemed to suggest a January return to training but like Jamster said, there hasn't been any mention of him for a while.

Make of that what you will. That same page says CYL won't be back until May. All the reports we've seen about him suggest he'll be back in the next couple of months.
A lot of injury return dates, especially the ones on Physio Room are just educated guesses.

i suspect they are just educated guesses. Obviously the site doesn't know the ins and outs of a player's recovery, but barring any good or bad luck I think it's a good resource to get an idea of when to expect someone back.

Unfortunately, when you've got a Championship budget, unless you unearth a gem or two you end up with Championship standard players. This summer OC hasn't unearthed any gems.

Norwich, QPR, Wolves and Swansea all have plenty of Championship players in their sides. To improve right back, we don't necessarily need a world-beater, we just need someone decent. Mears might not be up to much, but if he can do the basics and off an attacking threat, then he's good enough to improve us.

Who knows time will tell,i dont think the opposition will be quaking in there boots looking at our teamsheet .are you meant to buy players to improve your squad? I think we did. The trouble is we also lost key players we simply couldn't afford to replace. The squad is better, but the starting 11 is worse.

No kidding, Cohen at least had an eye for goal and was probably on lower wages. According to Wikipedia he's only making £5,000 a week in Israel.

We'd still be bottom of the table with Tamir Cohen in the side. He's not a PL player either. It's a moot point.

I was never a fan of the Pratley deal, but I'm prepared to give him time to find his feet at the club. He's hardly come into the best atmosphere, so let's see where it goes. I find it unlikely that he'll do much, but I'll wait and see.
Coyle's hardly covered himself in glory with his use of the loan players - played out of position, or just not given time. Which is arguably one of the major reasons his signings have had so little impact. Can't really know the reasons for that, but he's played players in awful form or moved people out of positions to avoid playing Tuncay and Kakuta in their proper positions.

Yeah, I agree. When we beat Villa at their place in the cup, and Kakuta had a good game, and scored. Then dropped for the forseeable future.
Didn't understand that myself.

Will be glad to have him back so we can finally see if he's up to it.
One thing's for certain, he can't be any worse than Boyata. I can't believe we're stuck with that day-dreaming stump for the rest of the season.

Nope. He's still here. It's Kakuta whose loan has finished.
