One would hope the club had a contingency plan in place should that happen.

I think coyle answered your question in riddles on GMR last night.

From what I took from the interview was we would have nothing to spend if we didn't sell him, same old ''I haven't spent any money here or any club I have been at''

I think Coyle has said we can get a couple in regardless of what happens with Cahill, but I'd assume the quality of those we can get will be heavily affected by Cahill's transfer.

The trouble, as I see it, is the numbers needed.  We're down to 2 fit wingers (with Mavies now being used wide and Tuncay possibly offering cover, but probably being rubbish there) in Eagles and Petrov.  We can juggle the squad, but we really need another wide-player - probably to cover the left.  Then we'll be short at centre half, questions remain over the fullback positions, we need a new option in the middle and we're not scoring enough up front.

I think we'll bring players in, regardless of what happens with players leaving, but unless we can get rid of some (for proper cash) we're just going to see those that arrive be worse than those that leave.

If we sell Cahill I think we will buy players.  If we don't sell him, we will loan players.
