Well this is good news ahead of what looks like our last Premier League season for a while with those wankers at the BBC deciding it is too expensive to Broadcast despite paying Alan Hansen 40k a show.

All the goals are on SSN before the Football League Show is on anyway.

That Manish, Steve Claridge and Leroy Rosenior all seemed pretty knowledgeable though.

I think it might've been me that said something about him. The comment was removed and I was told that either him or someone who works at the BBC had previously threatened legal action for comments on here. Or something like that. Maybe Manny can remember what happened.

I actually enjoy that show, but it's on far too late for it to get decent ratings.

It's the only show carried over here that you can see all the Championship goals.  Sky tend to only show 1 or 2 goals from each game, even if 5 goals have been scored.

So if/when we get relegated, are you going to have anywhere to see anything related to bolton?

Well I don't know whether you can get streams of all championship games.

I don't think you can, but you can get to see the goals and highlights/lowlights at some point.

But not the extended highlights, I don't think.

Possibly not, but there's no confirmation the show has actually been axed.  The article says "when asked about the show’s future he (Manish) Tweeted: “It’s on til May and who knows maybe even longer....but...”  So I take from that that no decision has been made as of yet, unless you trust that old friend of the tabloids 'an insider'.

Well I thought it was safe to take my post as contingent on the show being cancelled.

Fair dos, but was just saying it's a pretty shíte article.  Probably just a move by the non-murdoch owned press helping out the PSBs, "watch the show or you could lose it to sky."

Being on the west coast and 8 hours behind England timewise, it is a bit of a bugger getting up and moving around enough to get online to watch live games...if there are any online for Championship level games, especially if it is an early kick-off.  I'm not a huge fan of 4a.m. kick offs.

The fact is the BBC is having to find approximately 30% of cuts to the sports department.  Some of that has already been sorted out with the BBC sharing the F1 with Sky from next season and the world darts (about to start on BBC) with ESPN.  They are also thinking about shaing the early rounds of Wimbledon with any other UK broadcaster to help save money!

The renewal for the Football League highlights is coming up very soon and the BBC may well decide that it could be costing them too much to put a bid in for it.  As it stands the current package is here and is not changing until the end of the contract - not quite sure whether its the end of this season or end of next season.

That's nice dear.  You'll still be able to find highlights online if this programme is cancelled, no doubt one of the broadcasters will pick up the rights.  Then some lovely criminal can upload it to the internet so we can all loot it from under their noses.  Broken Briton.

Do they broadcast sports in America?

Not that I'm aware of; but since Google and Amazon.com have gotten into streaming TV, it appears that Apple is entering the action via sports.
