Two players stick out for me who I thought were utter crap and when I saw their name in the starting 11 would make me feel depressed. The two players are Mark Patterson and Bo Hansen. Both I thought were utter shite.
Which Bolton players have you hated seeing in the starting line up when you see the team news past or present?

Its funny - I thought about Jason Lydiate but thought I won't bother mentioning him as he didn't play many games. I agree about Nicky Summerbee and Gavin McCann. I was so happy when McCann wasn't given a new contract.

Lydiate played about 30 games across 3 seasons, I think he was disliked all round because he was the first player we had signed from Man Utd for a number of years. I'll never forget our first White Hot run ending at Derby because Seagraves and Winstanley were injured/suspended and we had a CB pairing of Lydiate and a very raw Stubbs.

I might be being harsh on Paatelainen and Richard Sneekes, but they were solid second tier players who were out of their depth week in, week out in the PL, and Chris Fairclough was over the hill.

Well, I've always wanted all Bolton players, past or present, to do well on match day. I honestly can't think of any player that I "hated" to see in a Bolton shirt in a match.

Patterson wasn't that bad for us. He had a bit of a slow start when he was played on the wing but once he got moved to central midfield he was miles better. Always gave 100% and got stuck in. That back pass against Oldham was a bit shít though.

Never hated a Bolton player or team in my life. Never. Thought some players not up to much, but would never hate BWFC.  Gerald Cid, Frank Passi, and Mario Lardel probably the strangest additions to the squad in recent years.  Perhaps we could re-label the thread - the BWFC Ali Dia award for persons masquerading as professionals?  Which is a thought, anyone doing a 2011 BWFC review/awards thread (or should that be for the end of the season?)

Robinson was outstanding last season, Unfortunatley time has caught up with him, it comes to us all.

In Megson's last season I dreaded McCann bein gin our line-up.  Seeing Robinson in the team now gives a similar feeling.

They both served us well and if it wasn't for McCann we'd probably have been relegated.

Unfortunately though, time catches up with players and they can end up playing a season too long.  It's looking that way for Kevin Davies too. Sad

Unfortunately yes I was.

Up until then Robinson had been one of our most consistent performers over the course of the season.  He wasn't the only one who had a bad game that day.

He gets targeted every game due to lack of pace. he is the weak link in the team easy to beat one on one.
