I sold a car once(Mk3 cortina) so I could go an away tie in Europe, but that was before the missus
and kids.Yes unfortunately football is no longer the preserve of the working classes that's something
else the bastards have taken off us.Bolton's season ticket prices are quite reasonable, but that's not
all you fork out for when going the match is it? My season ticket cost £725 I always say it will be the
last time, but I cant imagine not going the match. Its not just about the football on the pitch, its the social
side to,there are some people good friends who I now only ever see before and during the game.I know
of course it will come one day when I can no longer justify forking out a King's ransom just to see a game
of football, but I'm dreading that day.

Fans come in all shapes and sizes. We're not the sort of club which attracts glory hunters, are we? It does wind me up when people decide others are not 'proper fans' and what not based on the number of games they attend.

The only time it potentially becomes an issue is when we reach Wembley (or the Millenium Stadium).

If I recall, when we got to the Carling Cup Final against Boro, the club made it in person sales only and allowed STH's, lifeline members and club members an entitlement of four each and it was chaos, with lots of STH's queuing for hours on end and missing out.

However as someone who goes to more than half the games each season I would have been cheesed off if I had missed out on Wembley last season at the expense of a STH's "+1" guest. It was academic in the end as we didn't come close to selling out.

Same here but in the Family stand - thanks to certain contacts ;-)

But also got a £10 ticket for the United match in September - now that did surprise me!

Megson always had a toxic relationship with the fans. Part of this was the fact that it seemed like a shocking appointment - we had been so successful under Allardyce and now this is the best we can do? It also seemed a bit crooked with his agent being involved in the selection process. So maybe we never gave him a chance but he certainly never won us over either, with mediocre results, bad football, and a horrible attitude, all while spending money Big Sam could never dream of. He had this attitude of "Well what do you really expect at a small club like this anyway?"

Coyle in contrast has a lot more leeway because he's a former player, he's a really nice guy, and he clearly cares about the club. But I also think the fans might be burned out from five years of Phil Gartside trying to bring the club down from the inside. I just don't think we can mount the effort to get furious again.

I didn't even know plans for a statue existed and thought it was just something courted by the fans.

I think it was mentioned when Lofthouse died but ultimately, the club should let any decision lie with his family.

Maybe they will but it will be his family that make the final decision.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Nat didn't want a statute and that his family were backing that choice.  It would make sense that he'd think that way, being as unassuming a man as he was.

I'm pretty lucky over here.  Season tickets are USD 440.00 and that includes the big class A friendly against a team like Manchester United or Barcelona.  And you can pay in 4 installments.
FC Dallas called me (not a fan I purchased tickets for a woman's national team game there a year or so ago)
They offer me a 10 pack of tickets midfield for $11.00 each now thats cheep
