To take our minds off this sideshow, I thought I would let people discuss who was their fave as a kid. Obviously we are all of different ages but who was yours?
As a kid at Primary school I would always want to be Super John or Jason Mcateer on the playground.

Per Frandsen was mine. Was gutted when he went to Blackburn but when he came back he showed the form that made him a fans favourite in the first place.

The real Robbie Savage was my favourite for a while. Mainly for that goal at Wrexham in 88 that got us out the 4th division. I also liked him because he was a dirty bastard and always got stuck in.
Super John became my favourite in 1992 and still is to this day.

I see nobody has gone for coyle. Probably because he was pretty shít for us really. Apart from the play off goal and a couple goals in our White Hot cup runs he did fúck all for us. He was never as good as Walker or McGinlay. Some of the younger supporters who think he was a legendary player for us are hugely mistaken.

I was a kid during his time at the club, I don't think of him as a legend but it feels a little nostalgic for me to have somebody from that era as our manager. That and his obvious love for the club and the town is why I back him and choose to look at the players and outside influences as to the reason why we are struggling.

I think that's why the fans haven't turned on him like they did Megson. We all want him to do well as he's obviously a nice guy. He wasn't a great player for us though and I don't think he's going to be a great manager for us now.
