Until the first goal went in, I thought the game was destined for 0-0.
You could tell both teams are on a poor run as the entire game was being played in midfield. Other than Ryan Taylor and Martin Petrov's free kicks, I don't really recall either goalkeeper making a save in the first half.
Krul didn't really have anything else to stop and once Muamba went off, Newcastle created more chances in five minutes than they had in the previous 65.
Don't let the win at Blackburn fool you, we are still a very poor team.

Begs the question, why the fcúk did he swap Muamba for Eagles, up to that point Newcastle were never going to score, Owen if it aint fcuking broke don't fix it, substitutions are not obligatory in the Barclays Permier League.
Just fcúk off back to Scotland, and take your Mickey Mouse backroom team with you you clueless fanny.

Well that was one of the most dissapointing defeats of the season, I didn't get to carried away by the win on tuesday but I thought we would get at least a point today but yet again been left dissapointing.
I truley can't see us getting out of this mess now, the lack of consistancy after winning a game is a disgrace and owen coyle slating players after today on GMR won't help situations as the players are obviously not listening to him anymore.
I fear he has lost the dressing room and I now really don't think we will beat wolves, even a draw after todays result won't be good enough going into january.

If he really wanted to bring Eagles on he should've took Mark Davies off imo. Reo Coker and Muamba had the Newcastle midfield under control.
I was quite surprised Mark Davies was given man of the match. He had that one nice little run but didn't do much else really.

Another Coyle inspired disaster. Why substitute Muamba? Why start with Robinson? And now the Wolves game is "the biggest of the season" in case you thought the Blackburn game was. He hasn't got a clue and we are going down.

Still can't figure out why he thought the change was needed, we were in control of the midfield to a certain extenct at looked pretty dangerous and we looked to have a good balance to the team.
Then putting mark davies in the midfield totally changed it as we then became a little lightweight.
I was a little annoyed he took klasnic off to be honest as I thougt if we do manage to get a goal back we have the perfect player to nick another if it falls to someone in the box.

He decided to go for it and try and attack more. He obviously thought taking Muamba off for Eagles would give us more attacking options. It left us wide open and probably cost us a 0-0 draw.

Coyle, not very surprisingly, got it wrong today when it mattered. As other have said, our midfield duo controlled the game. The so much praised dominant Tiote, wasn't seen or heard of, for 60 minutes.
I know why Coyle did what he did, he thought that the game was there for the taking. However, Muamba was doing very well today, and alongside Reo, bossed the midfield.
I wasn't over impressed with our win mid-week. It covered up all the cracks, and now we're back where we started.
He needs to go. Gartside needs to act now, and hopefully the new manager can get us out of this mess.

Controlled the game, are you on crack? We were never in that game, for 90 minutes we were shocking. Newcastle let us off the hook in the first half cos they were just as shite but they finally woke up in the 2nd and punished us. I agree he screwed up taking Muamba off but to say we were controlling the game before that is just not right. We was going to lose whoever he subbed off. Newcastle had 55% possession and 12 shots on goal to our measly 4. That tells its own story.

No: they controlled the game. I'll let you off though, as you're understandably angry like the rest of us.

Yes, looking at the highlights you can say that Muamba probably would have tracked Ben Arfa on their first goal; Davies didn't. But that's how desperate our position is, draws don't do us a whole hell of a lot of good. Need 3 points to make any kind of impact in our league standing. Shame it's gotten to that point.

A draw would've meant we'd gone 2 games undefeated and built up more confidence before the Wolves game.

I'm not really defending Coyle's decision to take off Muamba but I could see how desperation would lead him to try to put a more attacking team out there.

Muamba was tired and started making a few sloppy mistakes that's probably why he took him off. Newcastle didn't really look like scoring up till then in the 2nd half so owen must of thought he would go for the win and bring eagles on, obviously didn't work. Thought klasnic was poor today, n'gog might not be the greatest infront of goal but runs and challenges for everything while klasnic stands and watches. A thought it was a pretty even game today on the whole, between 2 teams lacking quality. Was really disappointed in the result, a draw would of been fair.

Coyle is undefendable now, his substitutions are questionable at best, the guy is without doubt clueless, I hate to say this but Megson had a better gameplan than this fuckwit.

Welcome to the Benevolent Wanderers Football Club!
Are you on a winless run struggling to get results? Are you playing poorly & lacking confidence? Wondering where your next 3 points are going to come from?
Have no fear, BWFC is here! We'll give you a result, build your confidence & get your season back on track! We're the best in the business at it so get your team to the Reebok as soon as you can for your complementary 3 points.
We only beat Rovers because they are in a worse situation than us, their defence was decimated (you know you're in trouble when you resort to an attacking Pedersen at LB) and we scored first. Even then, if they'd started with Hoilett out wide I think it would have been a different result. We needed a fair bit of luck with the goals & penalty shout anyway.
I think we would have been out of this game much earlier too if Ben Arfa had started instead of Best. Once he came on they stopped playing so much long ball & started moving it about, allowing them to get it out wide & exploit our obvious weakness at full back (surprised Pardew didn't realise this beforehand.)
Some of the players need their head looking at, as do Coyle & his coaches.
I understand why he wanted to make attacking changes but why those particular ones? Why do so many players lose the ball & then take a few seconds before even thinking about winning it back or getting into position? Why does Klasnic play a great ball to get us going & then just saunter forward instead of busting a gut to get in the box & on the end of a cross? Why do so many players have so little awareness, urgency & belief?
In the last 3 matches when we have conceded first, they have scored the 2nd inside 6 mins, 66 secs & 2 mins. That's appalling & shows the players' mentality. They need to be Derren Browned or something.
As OC isn't going to be sacked it seems inevitable we're down, most likely embarrassingly so with Burnley going the other way.
Unless of course, all his praying does actually result in a miracle & we get cash & quality players in Jan or God infects 3 other clubs with some fatal virus that destroys them or...
...I'm rambling again. If you've managed to make your way through all of this then seriously
Thanks for reading

N'Gog (N'oGOalGuy) The best form of defence is to attack but we never look like scoring these days, I can see what Coyle was thinking yesterday but he got it wrong, We where having plenty ball and had a couple of half chances and as been said previous a draw would have kept the momentum going, he hopes to bring in 2 or 3 players so that prob means 2 at the best, we need a striker desperatley!

Coyle cost us yesterday. As soon as I saw Muamba going off I said to the lad next to me, "That's gonna cost us".
... and it did.
We just fell apart.
The game was heading towards a 0-0 draw and I'd have been happy with that especially as we weren't playing particularly well.
