Next up are two home games and they are both as big as tonight's match. First we have Newcastle and then Wolves. Following that we have a pretty tough January run with Everton away followed by Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal. Oh dear.

So we can expect between 0 and 3 points for January at best. Currently on 12 points. We certainly can't afford to still be on 12 points at the end of January if we want to stay up - therefore we must beat Wolves and Newcastle.

Will we do it?

Both winnable, both losable. Newcastle have dropped off and Wolves aren't any good, needs to be 6 points, even then it'll still be only won 6 lost 13, we can't chip away at recovering every other 6 games or so, we need back to back wins and then some.

Tonight was a start, but we usually follow a win up with several defeats, time to change that.

They are very winnable and always have been but so was Norwich and Sunderland at home but look what happened there.

If we can get into January 1st with 18points then it gives us a huge boost going into some tricky fixtures.

We need 6 points simple.

be very hard against an excellent toon team that smashed Swansea last week but couldn't get that goal.

I'd take 4 points to be honest.  We will be lucky to draw against Newcastle, as they have a much stronger midfield than ours, but I reckon we could snatch something.  We should smash Wolves though.

We should beat Wolves, I'd settle for a draw against Newcastle, they've been excellent against most teams outside the top 4.

The Bolton side of last season would get at least 4 points from the next two games. That has to be the absolute minimum aim and would probably get us out of the bottom three before the difficult January and February games.

If he's on schedule with his rehab then we're told February/March.

Wolves have been getting better TBF - both games will be tough, but providing our lads show the kind of commitment they showed in the first half against Rovers without getting sent off or giving away penalties we have a chance of 6 points. I'll be encouraged if Ricketts plays LB.
