Asthma - real, or people just getting out of breath too easy?

Just following on from recent debates about depression, CFS and athletes foot I wondered if there are any asthma fakers out there? Yeah, we all get a bit out of breath sometimes but come on - all that inhaler nonsense is just for show.

People didn't have inhalers in the war and they just got on with it!

I think allergies are more common nowadays and asthma can be a result of allergies.

kids not being allowed to roll around in dogshit or go swimming in ponds, for example, means that they're not developing their immune systems.

Oh, and fatties too often cite asthma rather then being unfit and overweight for the reason that they're out of breath after tieing their shoelaces.

Asthma from my experience only affects children and from what i gather they outgrow it to a certain extent when they get older.

But as you say paul, kids not being allowed to be kids anymore doesn't help matters.

I'm asthmatic but it seems to come on in spells. When the weather is dull like it has been recently, the slightest cough goes straight to my chest and I start to sound like Wheezy out of Toy Story.

Not had one for a few years but asthma attacks can be really scary as you don't know when they are going to stop. My Dad used to smoke quite heavily in the house so I always put that down as a major contributing factor.

It seems to be at it's worst though during hayfever season. I played football every Sunday between the ages of 12 to 16 and I was fine out on the grass but since then I've suffered from it every year.

Asthmatics tend to be illness prone in general in my experience.

There's a girl at my work that needs her own personal ambulance for the amount of time they are parked outside the building dealing with her. She's also a useless fat ugly cúnt, which makes her even less popular.

My mate in his 30's has it quite bad.

Bit of a stupid thread tbh.

Why don't you just have it put down and get a new one?  That'd be considerably less than £300.
