Hi all, tomorrow is my first trip to Ewood and was wondering whats the best way to get back from the ground.  Ive heard theres a train station near there, and tickets online are around 8 quid, would they be the same price at the actual station does anyone know?

Depends what website you went on. You're probably looking at something similar at the station though, if not the same.

The train station is a 20 minute walk from the ground and it will probably be packed with everyone trying to get the last train home. If you can get there by car, I'd advise it.

The ground is situated out of the town centre a good walk to the train station in Blackburn town centre, which I think is the nearest train station. I always get off at the town centre and have a few bevies in the town. The ground is off the main road which runs between Blackburn Darwin and Bolton and the main road is on the bus route between the towns. Could be worth checking out buses back along this road there might be an express service or more buses added, by the various dingle bus companies that operate the route, due to this being a really big important local derby game. The ground is built slap bang in the middle of a load of terrace houses with alleyways, ginnels and backstreets etc similar to how Maine Rd and Burnden Park used to be. I am going on the train because there is a great country pub on the way there if you get off at Edgworth called the Strawberry Duck that does excellent food and good beer. You then get on the next train to Blackburn but you need loads of time to do this cause the trains are jam packed. It is a bit of a ball ache on the train cause of the times and route and locations of the stations even though it is a very short distance. But good atmosphere because they are small old slow trains that are packed with fans. Have a good one.

I'm sure there's a Blackburn Road bus that just goes straight up the A666 to Blackburn.

The 235 is it?
