I really love this time of year, its the nicest time of the year IMO, celebrating Christmas and the last week of the year, being off work for 10 days, everyone is happy and wanting to celebrate, is there a better time to go for drinks than on Christmas Eve?
But despite loving this time of year I just don't feel Christmasy at all. Am I alone?
So on a scale of 0-10, how Christmasy do you feel (0 = not Christmasy at all, 10 = feeling very Christmasy).

I'm going to go with a 6.  The tree is up, most of the gifts purchased, been watching my favorite Christmas movies (Die Hard and Bad Santa) and listening to my favorite Christmas songs ("Blue Christmas," "Fairytale of New York").

However as an athiest I can't feel overwhelmingly Christmasy, also I don't have any anamatronic reindeer at my place so I took a few points off for that.

7. What I don't like about Christmas is the expectation to be happy. When you've got things going on in your life that drag you down, its difficult to participate in all the joy, and having to pretend to be enjoying yourself becomes tedious. Having said that, when you're relatively calm, its a brilliant time of the year.

We (the Stitzes) have a big family right across Greater Manchester. We've got Bury fans, Wigan fans, United fans - so its brilliant to have a couple of get togethers and talk football over a drinky or ten.

Thanks for reading,

Gloria.

You'd be amazed how many people make that assumption. Then again, how many people these days celebrate Christmas but don't believe in God and couldn't give a toss about the nativity?

Gloria.

P.S. What part of Denmark are you from?

Well it's about 30 degrees celcius here, not very Christmassy.

Felt Christmassy at the weekend, but back at work this week and the place is dead.  Just a 4/10 for me.  Humbug.

I don't really feel anything until the day when you see the family have a dinner and open a crap jumper.
