Victoria Wood is on UKgold right now and its just not funny. Its pathetic in fact. I remember watching French and Saunders a couple of years ago and didn't laugh once throughout the whole programme. And then on I'm a celebrity get me out of here, Crissy Rock was on who is apparently a comedian and she was not funny whatsoever, just bloody annoying. Are there any good female comedians? Why are women comedians not funny?

Caroline Aherne who does Mrs Merton is my personal favoruite. Shappi Khorsandi is very funny too, albeit one dimensional.
Thanks for reading,
Gloria.

That Bridesmaids film comes to mind, it just looks proper shite and the equivelent of a male version. That fat bint they have in is blatently an Alan rip off from Hangover.

I meant in terms of having somebody who is very different than the rest of them, wow acting some bloke is hilarious. Does not surprise me you have seen it and loved it, better or worse than Mama Mia?

I watched Bridesmaids and I thought it was hilarious. It's the sort of film both women and men can watch and both enjoy. The chubby girl who looked like Arnie played the part well. The scene in the bridal shop after they had eaten the dodgy meal was very funny.

I agree, Bridesmaids was actually funnier than the Hangover. especially the 'set pieces' the plane scene, the shower scene, the pre wedding party bit, the argument in the jewellery shop all hilarious IMO. I meant in terms of having somebody who is very different than the rest of them, wow acting some bloke is hilarious.

not seen Mama Mia; I am a film fan though so i will watch anything. Open your mind.

Birds tend not to be funny as a rule. Jo Brand for example. Just looking a like a fat lezzer and being miserable doesn't amount to being funny.
The Jordie bird above is about the best around at the mo.

I forgot to mention Jo Brand. Again, she's extremely one dimensional but funny nonetheless.
There's very few female comedians out there in comparison to males, of which there are dozens, and there's only a handful of the males that stand out to me.
Anybody can be a comedian these days. You only need to look at James Corden to know that.
Thanks for reading,
Gloria.

What is funny about slagging off men and reminding people that she is fat every 5 mins, as above she is an unfunny fat lezzer.

She was very funny on The Apprentice: You're Fired.
Sadly, I lose too much respect for humans once they've been panellists on Loose Women.
Thanks for reading,

Women generally aren't very witty. When they do try to be funny it smacks of trying too hard.
Humour is generally a male thing.

"Why are men, taken on average and as a whole, funnier than women? Well, for one thing, they had damn well better be. The chief task in life that a man has to perform is that of impressing the opposite sex, and Mother Nature (as we laughingly call her) is not so kind to men. In fact, she equips many fellows with very little armament for the struggle. An average man has just one, outside chance: he had better be able to make the lady laugh. Making them laugh has been one of the crucial preoccupations of my life. If you can stimulate her to laughter—I am talking about that real, out-loud, head-back, mouth-open-to-expose-the-full-horseshoe-of-lovely-teeth, involuntary, full, and deep-throated mirth; the kind that is accompanied by a shocked surprise and a slight (no, make that a loud) peal of delight—well, then, you have at least caused her to loosen up and to change her expression. I shall not elaborate further.
Women have no corresponding need to appeal to men in this way. They already appeal to men, if you catch my drift."
-Christopher Hitchens
