Martin Atkinson, I think he's alright, might have a tough game on his hands Tuesday night though.

Why will it be a tough game?

It's a derby game; full of blood and thunder, incredible passion, sweat and tears for the badge.

Unfortunately you need two teams with that attitude to make it a "tough game"

Atkinson's poor, even by the modern day referees standards.

I'm surprised Mike Dean's not reffing this one - he usually does.

Thanks for reading,

Gloria.

Didn't have much to get wrong last night really apart from the penalty shout.

The 2 yellows for them were stone wallers.

One of those was almost definitely not a yellow, and booking their centre back is only going to change the complexion of the game.

I think he was just trying to get control of the match early on, but it was funny as watching the faces of the Blackburn players when he was clearly getting to them.

When the stat came up pre match about him dishing out the most red cards this season it was a case of, "oh fúck, here we go again....."

I prefer reff’s that are willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the attacking team; thankfully he did the same when we were defending. lol Wink

Thought he had a good game ... apart from the one obvious error which was not giving them a penalty.

We've been on the rough end of some decisions this season so we had to get one go in our favour eventually.

We need Uriah Rennie to make a sensational and heroic comeback.  He was always kind to us.

He was the match assessor last night, that's the real reason we won. He'll be doing the same job at Everton in the new year.
