The Bolton News reckons Coyle's gonna be making some changes.

This news fails to breathe optimism into me as it just means he'll be making one or two tweaks but not the ones that tens of thousands of people want him to make.

Thanks for reading,

Gloria.

Bolton travel to Fulham on Saturday knowing that even a victory may not be enough to lift them off the foot of the Premier League table.

Owen Coyle's side are routed at the bottom of the league after a dismal start to the season, which has seen them lose 12 of their opening 15 games.

The Trotters have conceded 36 goals so far this campaign, a tally that comes close to matching Barnsley's top-flight record of 1997/98, when they conceded a total of 40 goals in their first 15 outings.

They were beaten on home turf last weekend, as Aston Villa ran out 2-1 winners at the Reebok Stadium. Fulham also lost, 2-0 at Swansea, before crashing out of the UEFA Europa League on Wednesday night after drawing 2-2 at home to Odense.

Bolton will be hoping Fulham's midweek exertions will provide a better opportunity of victory at Craven Cottage. A ground where Wanderers have failed to win a league game since November 1992.

If Coyle's side are to be successful on their trip to London, they will once again have to overcome the obstacle of injuries and suspension.

Sam Ricketts, Sean Davis and Tom Eaves all came through action for the reserve team in midweek but will not be considered, but there is more positive news on Ivan Klasnic.

The Croatia international limped out of the defeat to Villa last time out with a knee injury, but has proved his fitness in training this week.

Nigel Reo-Coker missed that game with a hamstring strain but could come into consideration, with Darren Pratley the man likely to make way.

Marcos Alonso and Gretar Steinsson may be handed rare starts in the full-back positions, with Coyle opting to drop Paul Robinson and Dedryck Boyata after a poor run of form.

Gary Cahill and Zat Knight should provide the cover for Jussi Jaaskelainen's goal, with David Wheater serving the third game of a four-match suspension following his sending off against Everton last month.

Reo-Coker's return could coincide with a recall for Fabrice Muamba. The former Arsenal midfielder was left on the bench last weekend, but is likely to come back in the place of Tuncay, with Mark Davies taking a place on the right flank.

David Ngog is pushing for a recall in attack, but Klasnic is likely to be partnered by captain Kevin Davies.

Stuart Holden, Lee Chung-Yong, Tyrone Mears, Rob Lainton, Joe Riley, Ricardo Gardner and Josh Vela all remain on the treatment table.

Fulham boss Martin Jol has recalled David Stockdale from a loan spell at Ipswich Town, with first-choice goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer being ruled out for at least a month with a spinal injury.

Stockdale is likely to start in goal but faces competition from Neil Etheridge.

Danny Murphy is available after sitting out the midweek draw with Odense, but Steve Sidwell is expected to miss out as he continues his recovery from injury.

Jol has denied reports of a rift with striker Bobby Zamora, who should start at the Cottage, with Andy Johnson and Clint Dempsey providing support for the England international.

Bolton Wanderers: from: Bogdan, Jaaskelainen, Lynch, Steinsson, Alonso, Robinson, Cahill, Knight, Boyata, Connolly, Muamba, Eagles, Petrov, M Davies, Reo-Coker, Pratley, Kakuta, Blakeman, Tuncay, K Davies, Klasnic, Blake, Ngog, O'Halloran

Owen Coyle can officially fcúk off. Even if we win, he can fcúk off. A win would only paper over the cracks. The cracks being - Coyle not knowing his head from his arse.

I presume pratley will be hugging the left touchline and taking the ball round the right back on each occasion with his blistering pace and incredible skill.

Hard to get sarcasm from an online forum but not with that one.  Wink

Jaaskelainen
Boyata Knight Cahill Alonso
Pratley, Reo-Coker, Muamba M Davies
K Davies Klasnic

Subs: Bogdan, Steinsson, Robinson, Eagles, Tuncay, Petrov, Ngog

What the hell is that from Coyle!
Unbelievable.

The team should be:

Jussi
Boyata Cahill Knight Robinson
Muamba
Eagles Mavies NRC Alonso
Ngog

Or similar. The two fat numpties up front are offering nothing at present. I would even like to play Tuncay for 90 mins really.. At least he put some effort in!

Klasnic offers goals you fcuking fanny, that being said that team looks pretty poor. I think some extra praying is in order.

Ok, Klasnic scores the odd goal. I see the case for him playing but we offer so little in terms of threat and pressure that it means we are constantly under the Kosh at the back. I don't know why Coyle persists with Davies!

Think even praying may not be enough with that midfield.

We have a horribly immobile attack but Klasnic is the only one who has a clue where the net is.

Davies should not be playing, I want to see N'Gog up top to offer a bit of pace and movement.  Only way I can see us winning this is if Fulham are really poor.

Having seen our line up we will definitely lose.
Why does he keep starting with Kevin Davies? He offers nothing any more. The midfield looks yet again like square pegs in round holes.

Come on Fulham, I hope they beat us so that Gartside has to consider Coyle's position.

The only reason as to why Pratley is on the left is to offer protection for Alonso when he gets forward.
