Didn't someone on here want Phil Brown as manager? He's just been sacked by Preston.

Brown for Bolton anyone?

I like Phil Brown, but he really is the David Brent of football. He's I'm Mr Nice Fan-Friendly Honest Man who'll accept full responsibility for anything even when its not my fault.

He did an OK job at Hull - he has legendary status with a number of them up there but he's clearly not the tactically bright figure that we desperately need.

Thanks for reading,

Gloria.

Keep OC at all costs if he is one of the candidates for the next bwfc job.

He still has the best win ratio of any Bolton manager in my lifetime.

He did well at Hull, got them into the Premiership for the first time but even Fergie wouldn't have kept them up.

The Preston job was mission impossible in my opinion.....their fans expect to be pushing for promotion to the Prem as they were under Billy Davies.

I like the guy.  If (when) we go down, I wouldn't be too upset if he took over

Would be a better bet as a number 2 to Coyle.

Phil Brown sacked as Preston North End manager
Preston’s new chairman, Peter Ridsdale, has sacked manager Phil Brown, blaming last season’s relegation and a poor run of form in League One.

Why?

Because this was announced yesterday and there is already a thread about it.
