The Bastard threw a load of the club's money into keeping us in the league.
When anybody implies that the job Megson did was more credible than Coyle's based on their points per game ratio, I automatically assume that they're thick.
With £40m, you can build a fairly solid Premier League team. That's not to imply that Megson succeeded in doing this.
With £10m, you can merely build a Championship side, and just hope for the best.

Just to be pedantic - the "fairly solid Premier League team" that Megson built for £40 million is still with us - less Elmander (who the majority thought was a fecking useless tosser) and Taylor - who Coyle sold to accommodate Petrov.
The players Coyle brought in for £10 million are more or less in ADDITION to the £40 million 'fairly solid Premier Team' - that Megson kept up!
We are underachieving under Coyle – there is no doubt about that - hopefully it is not too late to turn things about - but I have little confidence that he can.

And , Dave, it wasn't me that took a laptop into a pub - if I seem to remember it was someone off here who went into Wetherspoons bar on Nelson's Square. That thread sums up WW, if you are in then you can pretty much say what you like but if you are a newbie then you just get banned.
The joke that I made if made by one of the regulars would have been seen for what it was a sick joke but because I did it , I was banned.
