A report published today suggests that 1/100 school children suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, also known as ME.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-16138148

Give me strength. We had lazy children in my day but they didn't have ME, they were just children being children i.e. staying up too late watching TV and playing Pacman.

Of course, it's 2011 so we have to put a label on it and call it a disease. It's nothing to do with staying up late and playing XBox until 3am every night is it.

In future, if you have a hangover just ring in sick and say you have ME. No one can say otherwise as it's a fake illness and impossible to diagnose.

The world has gone mad. Give it a few months and being fat will be a disease, or having spots, or baldness.

Exactly. Some days I do absolutely nothing all day and I feel knackered by bedtime. But most days I work all day then go to the gym in the evening and I don't feel tired at all come bedtime.

Get up and exercise you lazy feckers!

Too true, nothing beats getting up early on a sunday and going for a long walk somehwere, I hate being stuck in at weekends it makes me feel even worse.

The parents don't help with the lazy kids letting them do it, don't think I ever got up later than 8 when I was a kid on a saturday.

I wonder how easy it would be to convince a doctor you have ME? And I heard that they would be doing checks on all people on incapacity benefits because they thought lots of people were fine to work. I wonder if ME 'sufferers' were getting away with it and still able to claim it. It is a joke if they passed the test that they can't work.

I think its an absolute joke. Who isn't tired? Who doesn't wake up on a morning still really tired and could do with a few more hours kip?

I know someone who claims to have this and they are very devious, they wouldn't like to work. It makes me quite cross these people who claim this.

I am not quite sure about chronic fatigue. Most people suffer from fatigue at one time or another. If you are feeling tired and lethargic then a good brisk walk will make you feel much better. Exercise releases endorphins  into our bloodstream. It is endorphins that give us the feel good factor after a healthy work-out.

Perhaps the doctors should give people with ME, the address of their local athletics club ?

As much as it is the solution most of the lazy sods would just turn round and say ''oh no im too tired and ill to do any exercise''

Which is another reason why they are so many of them on benefits not even bothering to look for work.

The world has become a crazy place. If someone texted me a "sick note" they would be sacked on the spot. Let them try and sue me.

I used to be a manager and had a girl who would always text in her "sore throat" problems.

she ended up getting sacked and then accused me of treating her like shíte.

always someone else's fault.
