I maintain that R. Kelly's Love Letters album is quality and well worth a listen.

Worlds greatest has got a nice little hook at the start but as soon as R.Kelly starts crying over the top of it, it's ruined.

I'm in to dance/electronic music and its been a poor year for albums. Best thing I have heard is SBTRKT's album of the same name.

I have just downloaded it. If it's crap you owe me £5.

I would recommend checking out the band, poets of the fall, Natasha.

One of their songs is below.

Jamster, this may appeal to you.

Haunting piano melody with tragic lyrics. All about youth and love and life.

' If life is just a highway then the soul is just a car.'

Modern music aint rubbish but in the era of downloads rather than buying a record and playing it until you 'get it' I suspect few new artists will enjoy ther longevity of bands from the 70s & 80s.

Albums from a modern era, I'd go for;

X&Y Coldplay
Cherry Ghost
Optimist ep - Turin Brakes
Defamation of Strickland Banks - Plan B
Lungs - Florence & the Machine

X Factor is shite but fair play to some of the acts singing live week after week under such scrutiny.
