I was wondering how much stonger we would be with a fully fit 11. I think Lee and Holden would be starters of course but what of the rest? I still think we are weak on the left and up top. Anyone care to speculate? I think our problem is the number of mediocre back up players we have but no actual best 11 that should be the back bone of the team. I find it very hard to pick a winning formula from this lot...

To make it easier...

Jussi/Bogdan

Mears/Steinsson/Boyata/Ricketts/Riley............................................................................. Robinson/Alonso/Gardner/Ricketts....
Cahill/Boyata/Ricketts/Knight/Wheater/Conelly

Lee/Mavies/Eagles/Kakuta/Tuncay....................................................................................Petrov/kakuta/Eagles/Gardner/Tuncay
Holden/Mavies/Davis/Muamba/Pratley/ReoCoker

Tuncay/Davies/Ngog/Klasnik/OHalleran/Blake

My best eleven - please note this changes in my head every few mins...
New Keeper
Boyata Cahill Ricketts NewLB
Muamba
Lee Holden Mavies New LW
New CF

You are a fcuking idiot, given the choice between you and Amos I would choose Amos, you create a thread talking about strongest 11's and then you choose 3 new players and not even who we currently have.

You are getting tiresome. Choose Amos if you like. I don't care what you think of me or my opinions.

Do I need to add to the OP just to explain this to you... "I was struggling to pick players worthy of starting in some positions so rather than fill them in I have left them as blanks with one eye on January coming up. I thought it would highlight the areas on the field which I consider need most attention in the January/summer transfer windows."

I think with a few additions we would have a decent squad. But they would have to be key/proven Premier League additions not more filler players.

Posting on here you simpleton, Why create a thread about choosing our best 11 and then declare you cannot come to a conclusion what it is? It is pointless and just sums up that you create a thread about fcúk all whenever you see fit just for a bit of look at me moment.

Is this more of your famous humour?

Ha ha, I have to agree with Sharps jayjay.

My strongest 11:

Hart

Messi  Messi  Messi  Messi

Messi  Messi  Pratley  Messi

Messi  Messi

That's my best team when it's possible to duplicate a human being.

Yep, that's hard to beat...if only Coyle had your vision!

Coyle is the sort of incompetent who ardently believes in an indescriminate 'best 11', that doesn't take into account the opponent's identity, line up, system or cirumstances. Any manager can predict him and any 'not fcuking terrible' manager can adapt their system to beat him, as long as they have players who are a little bit tactically versatile and know how to follow instructions.

Ok so the OP was not perfectly and eloquently put across to pose my question or my point. But you have to admit Sharps just looks for any reason to tear me down as always.

I don't see what is so hard to grasp. I think I am pointing out that even with the whole squad fit we would still be hard pushed to do much better in the league because of the amount of quality we are lacking in a lot of areas. Isn't that a valid point?

Yes, but you asked us to pick our strongest side and then included three 'mystery' players yourself.

Very good post that and I also agree with HP's team and the fact that jayjay is the numbest clown ever to post on here.

With Coyle we seem to have landed ourselves with the kid who was always bottom of the class. Some people say that managers know best, I'm prepared to make an exception where Coyle's concerned.

This squad has the capacity to be on about 16 points. Just over a point per game isn't beyond them, even without Lee and Holden. The players are badly motivated and aren't trying, they're set up in a way that is seriously easy to beat (which has to have a psychological effect) and several have shown less discipline than educationally subnormal children.

Pederson's team is spot on.

Too lightweight; I think we should bring Maradona out of retirement to partner Pratley in CM.

My strongest team would be the spain side but Messi instead of Torres.

I would keep the 4 current players you've chosen too. Sadly i don't think the funds will be made available in January to fill the 7 gaps in this side.

Best fully fit side:

--------------Jaaskelainen------------------

Boyata----Wheater-----Cahill----Gardner

CYL-------MDavies--------Holden------Eagles

--------------Tuncay-----NGog---------------

Its by no means flawless, but stronger man for man than the side which had us in the top 6 this time last year I feel,

Thanks for reading (almost forgot),

Gloria.

I like the 'New RB' bit. You've got one, you just haven't seen him yet.

My unqualified XI

Jussi
Mears
Cahill
Wheater
Gardner
Muamba
M Davies
Lee
Holden
S' eagulls
Klasnic

4-2-3-1

Shush, I know what i'm talking about.

Holden's a good player who can create and track back, but the other three are "flair" players with the tackling skills of Laura Robson.

Are you Owen Coyle?

My opinion, given our current crop of "overpaid ponces" to quote the above poster:

Jaaskelainen
Steinsson - Cahill - Wheater - Gardner
Lee - Holden - Muamba - Eagles
Davies - Klasnic

The bench: Bogdan, Ricketts, Reilly, M. Davies, Reo-Coker, Tuncay, NGog.

Not much point in posting a thread like this and then leaving out half the positions.  And I also agree that an objective "best 11" is a bit stupid since every opponent and circumstance is different.  Part of being a good manager is recognizing that and changing the team to suit.  Coyle seems not to realize this.

Laura Robson does not get mentioned anymore since Howfen left and she became of legal age.
