Howfen, why are you hiding behind Gloria?
Who wouldn't wish to hide behind a splendid pair of funbags ? Just reading this thread, I am getting depressed at the lack of understanding into what is a very serious subject. It's depressing reading, it really is.

People come to me for the honest truth, they know there'll be no PC bollocks here.
The world would be a better place if people would just bottle up their emotions and keep their problems to themselves.
Touchy-feely doesn't do it for me Gloria, sorry.
Honesty is an admirable quality. Ignorrance isn't. Denying existence of illnesses because you have no experience of them yourself falls very much into the latter category. You've gone down a path that so many people I know have been down and spent huge chunks of their lives regretting it (no double entendre there). If you were to find yourself with clinical depression and beg for my forgiveness for forever claiming it was all a load of nonsense, you wouldn't be the first. Thanks for reading, Gloria.

You are presuming I have no experience of it just because I don't class it as a disease. And you say I'm ignorant. I am a doctor and have spent more time researching this subject than you've spent outside the local primary school. I don't doubt there are people who think they suffer from "depression", but that doesn't make it real and my research has pointed 100% to bullshit.

I guarentee there'd be millions of people wishing a nasty disease on Shittam if the world saw this thread!
So does that include you? Or just millions of other people? What disease do you wish on her?

I'm not a doctor RT.
Its a career I regret not pursuing, as I feel I've got excellent people skills. Though clearly that isn't a quality the profession requires.

Perhaps if you'd gone down that route and experienced the amount of people taking the piss you'd be more open to the fact it's a fake disease.

I'm presuming nothing. You haven't been through it. Its evident from your opening post to your latest. Fact. Thanks for reading, Gloria.

Anyone been listening to Talksport?
Freddy Flintoff on there talking about some programme he is doing on the box tonight about depression in sport. Made very good listening.

A name we're all familiar with, Andy O'Brien, has also been suffering from depression. He refused to play against Burnley in November and was suspended by Leeds. He's now back in training and available to play. LUFC Statement: We were exceptionally disappointed when Andy refused to play before the Burnley game and felt let down.
It is now apparent that there were a number of issues that he was dealing with at that time which affected him in a way we could not imagine and he was not in a right state of mind to make such decisions.
On this basis we believe he deserves a second chance and we will do everything we can to assist him.

I hope he's made a full recovery. A model pro is AOB.
Thankfully that fcukstick Natasha is no longer around to put the mockers on an illness that ruins so many lives.

Nick Green probably still lurks and steals my posts, which I like to call word play gold.
